Zorian was shocked at the ease with which they moved through the house. Many of the inhabitants were caught off-guard by the suddenness and ferocity of their attack, and most chose to flee rather than attempt a hasty defense. In little more than a minute, Zach and Zorian had reached the ward room. The door was made out of thick, alchemically strengthened steel and was virtually indestructible in the short amount of time available to them… but unfortunately for House Boranova, the walls were not similarly durable, and Zach unceremoniously blew the door off its hinges and strolled inside. After that, shattering the golden sphere that served as the anchor for the mansion’s wards proved trivially easy.
