Devourer Fire.

Fire.

Late at night a boy in his 20’s was walking on the side of the road. He was typing on his phone.

He was walking without giving much intention to the road.

The person he was talking to was his girlfriend, she was upset with him, for he had not attended her birthday party or bought her a present on her birthday, which had passed-by just recently.

Their conversation was going like this.

"I said I make up for it. I will buy you whatever you want." The boy tried his best to make his love at least accept his call.

"But you missed my birthday. How could you forget something so important. I think you were with someone else, at that time." Only God knows a girl’s heart.

"...How did you come to that conclusion?" The boy didn’t know if he should laugh or cry.

"I called you so many times and you didn’t pick up at all. You are definitely cheating on me." The girl sent an angry emoji along with the message.

"I told you already. My phone crashed. It’s screen had completely shattered. And...you only calmed me at 11:00 of night. After your birthday party." The boy was speechless, he had told his girlfriend this many times already.

"Did your phone only had to get damaged on my birthday? Nice excuse. You think I will believe such a blunt lie?" The girl had completely ignored the part of ’time’. So shameless.

"Listen lets forget about it all, okay? Lets make-over. And I swear I am NOT CHEATING ON YOU!" The boy was sheading tears by now.

Before the next message appeared. The boy tripped on a rock.

The boy barely managed to save himself from falling. Though he wasn’t able to protect his phone.

The phone got thrown on the middle of the road.

The boy rushed towards his phone, thinking if it broke right now, his girlfriend would suck his blood out.

In his rush he forgot to realise that he was walking on the side of a road.

And cars, buses, motorcycles were all passing him by.

When he reached his phone, he was in the centre of the road.

HONK! The car’s sound made him realise that he was in the middle of the road.

Seeing the speedy car coming towards him fear took root inside him.

His legs froze he couldn’t even think of running. He looked on with horror filled eyes as the car slid along the road and came for him.

Bang! Laying in his pool of blood, the boy’s mind started getting hazy.

"This pain, where did it come from? Yea wasn’t today her birthday? I should go...no wait her birthday...didn’t I missed it? Ahh! This pain where is this pain coming from?" People had started gathering around the boy.

"Yea, I was hit by a car...Is this the end? I...I don’t want to die yet. I have so many things...I want to do." No matter what he wished for, he had already lost a lot of blood. The chances of him making it out alive were...zero.

"I guess...this is... my end." A tear flowed down his cheek.

His last thoughts were about his girlfriend, who was currently letting loose a series of curses, to a currently deceased person aka her boyfriend.

The boy’s body was being taken to a hospital. But by this time, his heart had already stopped beating.

At this time, up in the sky, a rainbow coloured light appeared. It appeared from no-where.

As a small dot on the sky and started stretching at a fast speed.

The media erupted and stopped all news to display this miraculous thing.

NASA and all the other, big or small, all started researching this phenomenon.

The rainbow coloured light circled the earth and vanished.

The rainbow light left the whole world...in awe.

As the rainbow light vanished so did something else.

Before the boy’s soul could enter the river of reincarnation and purification, it had already...vanished from his body and the...universe.

Somewhere inside a dark cave, where strange creatures were walking.

In the lower layers of the cave, free from the other creatures, thousands and thousands of eggs were placed, of course, out-of-order.

These eggs were all of very large sizes. With the smallest being the size of a very large ostrich egg.

One thing that was weird about them was that, the looked like the combination of rock and magma.

They looked extremely tough from their outer appearances.

To point out an other weird thing about them, that would be that all of them were...glowing. Or more appropriately they were blinking with a red light.

It was as if they were about to hatch.

As if a proof, one of the largest eggs started glowing extremely brightly and stated transforming.

It started to morph into a small creature half its original size.

The creature was about the size of half a human.

It had two arms and two legs. With two red lights glowing inside what was presumably its eye-sockets. It had a well-shaped nose, with two dark coloured lips. It had two tiny...very tiny horns on its head. With its skin being a very dark-red colour. It also had two cramped together tiny wings on its back. It emitted light quantity of heat.

This creature rested for sometime on its bump. Meanwhile other eggs had also started transforming into the same type of creature.

Slowly the whole area was filled with the tiny creatures. Yet there was one egg that was still glowing and not transforming. It was as if it was the egg was unable to transform into the creature.

As if it’s energy was constantly being sapped.

After a long time of struggling it finally transformed. But what it transformed into wasn’t the creature the others had transformed into. Or more appropriately it wasn’t even a creature to begin with. What it was...was fire.

Yes what it had transformed into was actually fire.

It was bright-red coloured fire.
