I think I've figured out where the red water comes from...
There are no broken pipes...
And it's not just water...
It's blood.
"D-Daddy... W-Why?"
"Run, Cresancia! R-Run!" Mommy's shrill cry echoed inside the office. She was about to run toward me, but Daddy quickly grabbed her hair.
Mommy cried loudly while staring at me.
"Where do you think you will go, Criselda?" Daddy dangerously asked while raising the corner of his lips. He pulled Mommy's hair again, causing Mommy's head to hit his chest.
"Cresancia, r-run!" Mommy's scream got louder as Daddy laughed evilly while staring at Mommy. He seems to be enjoying the fear that his wife is showing.
My tears started to roll down my cheeks as I looked at my parents. I can no longer control my body. I seem to be paralyzed in my position, while my brain is confused about what is happening.
Why...
Why are my two sisters lying unconscious on the floor? Why is Mommy sobbing and terrified? Why does she want me to run? Why is Daddy holding a knife? Why are they all drenched in blood? Why...
Shaking with fear, I looked at Daddy, who kept laughing like a demon, while Mommy continued to cry and scream in fear.
Why does it seem like Daddy is no longer what I see in front of me? It looks like... he is no longer my father, whom I knew... and loved when I first opened my eyes.
"I told you not to make me mad, Criselda..." Daddy said quietly in Mommy's ear, but it was loud enough for me to hear. Mommy immediately turned her head away from Daddy and struggled in his grip.
"Demon! You're an f*cking demon, Alejandro! Y-You murdered your own children! You're no longer the man I knew and loved! You're a demon who deserves to die and suffer in the fire of- "
"Daddy!" I yelled when, in just the blink of an eye, Daddy stabbed Mommy in the stomach without hesitation.
"I'm so sick of your litany, Criselda. You're the one who deserves to be in hell because you're the devil's wife!" Daddy yelled angrily, and like a nightmare, the sharp knife slashed at Mommy's neck.
When I felt Mommy's blood splash against my face, I quickly closed my eyes.
My soul escaped from my body when I heard Mommy landed hard on the floor. I slowly opened my eyes. Even though my vision is blurry, I can see the constant leakage of blood from Mommy's neck as she holds her neck and struggles to catch her breath.
"M-Mommy..."
As my heart began to pound against my chest, a hot, wet fluid began to drip down my legs. I can't hear anything but the strong beating of my heart, which seems to be about to explode in a few seconds. As Daddy approached me, holding his blood-splattered knife, I felt a strong chill run through my body.
I tried to take a step back, but my foot wouldn't move.
I want to scream... I want to run... But I can't feel my body any longer. I was like a small bird trembling in fear of being eaten and killed by a large, mischievous cat.
"My daughter, Cresancia..."
When Daddy knelt in front of me and gently caressed my cheek, I stopped breathing. Even though I can't feel the point of his knife, it feels like a swarm of knives is already stabbing me as I stare into his eyes.
How did his once warm, tender, and loving eyes turn cold, dangerous, and demon-like?
"W-What happened to you... D-Daddy?" My heart broke as I sobbed to ask him.
As I noticed the shock in his eyes, he stopped caressing my cheek. His dangerous eyes became soft. He took a slow look at his blood-splattered hand before he slowly looked up at me once more.
When I saw his tears running down his cheeks, my sobbing intensified. As he looks at me, his eyes are now filled with shock, regret, pain, and fear. It seems that he has been cleansed of his actions, and the demon has disappeared from his body.
"I-I'm sorry, my Cresancia..." His voice broke. He slowly stood in front of me.
I stopped crying and was once again engulfed in fear as the edge of his lips slowly lifted as tears continued to stream down his cheeks.
"But it's only for a moment. You will be with your mommy and your siblings soon..." he softly said and quickly raised his hand that was holding a knife, and before I could feel the point of the knife…
"No!!!" I quickly got up from my bed.
I was drenched in sweat, clutching my neck, and trying to catch my breath. As loud sobs escaped my mouth, I clutched my chest and gripped my bed tightly with one hand.
He's going to kill me... He's going to kill me... T-That demon is going to kill me! He's going to kill me!
"You f*cking monster!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as the dark sky outside my window rumbled.
I jumped out of bed and grabbed the porcelain lamp from the side of my bed, tossing it quickly onto the large mirror in front of my bed.
I clenched my teeth in rage as I looked at my reflection in the shattered glass. Every tear that falls down my cheek reminds me of the blood of my loved ones dripping from that knife.
In blazing anger, I vowed, "I will kill you... I must f*cking kill you... monster."
