"What the hell?! Let go of me!" I yelled as Wilston struggled to pull me out of the car.
Despite the fact that I disagreed with his trivial solution, he immediately kidnapped me from my own f*cking home, and now we're right here in... in... in this f*cking place!
"I'm so sorry, Cresancia, but you need this." He sighed before tossing me to the ground like I was nothing more than a cheap object!
"F*ck you! How many times have I told you that I don't want to be here?! You know my f*cking story, Wilston!" I yelled angrily as I struggled to free my hand and foot from the rope that bound them.
My anger only flared up when Wilston looked down at me with tiredness in his eyes. Because I'm here on this filthy ground, I can't help but look up at him. I can't even stand up because of this f*cking rope! Damn it!
Now that someone is looking down on me, I feel like a lowly creature. Damn you, Wilston! Damn you!
"I know. I'm so sorry…" he said softly. His face is filled with guilt, as if he didn't want to bring me here either. "But this is the only solution I can think of to fix the mess you made."
I laughed sarcastically.
"No way. You mean there's no other place I can stay except here? Are you f*cking kidding me, Wilston? There are so many places and countries in the world, so why here?!?!?" I was so enraged that I screamed so loudly that the birds flew away in fear.
Wilston just stood there in front of me, massaging his brow. My breath is heavy as I continue clenching my jaw while waiting for his answer.
He sat up so that we were level before folding his arms and looking me in the eyes. It looks like he wants me to understand everything he says.
"Before I came home right away to solve the problem you created, I thought of getting you out of the country-"
"Then why don't we get out now? I better get out of the country to-"
"You can’t, Cresancia!" he snapped, cutting me off.
I was stunned and confusedly looked at him.
Why not? Is there a law now that prevents Cresancia Eonora Rosario from leaving the country?
Wilston heavily sighed again.
"You can't leave the country because the media expects you to leave the country again just to cool down your scandal, so they're all waiting now at all of our airports," he explained in detail.
My jaw dropped before I slowly looked down at the ground. "What the hell?" I muttered.
"So, Pontevedra is the perfect place for you to hide because this province is the most hidden place in the city," Wilston said, touching both of my shoulders. "Only a few people from outside here know this province, and there is no television or other new technology here, so no one will recognize you and the issue you raised," he continued, but nothing he said made my heart feel lighter.
"But you know why I hate this place," I said coldly.
I noticed he was stunned.
I laughed sarcastically before looking at the large, old gate that was almost rusted and covered by vines, making it impossible to see what was inside. I smiled lightly before looking at him again.
"And you actually brought me right here… to the place where I almost died," I stated emphatically.
Wilston bit his lower lip as he stared at me. My teeth only grinded in rage. I wanted to hit him and hurt him, but I couldn't because both of my hands and feet were tied.
"I’m sorry, Cresancia-"
"Your apologies will do nothing; untie my bonds and get me out of here before my sight goes dark with you, Wilston," I said coldly as my body trembled as the cold wind blew.
When I looked up at the sky, I noticed that it was gradually getting darker, indicating that the sun was setting and being replaced by the moon. A sign that light will fade and be replaced by darkness. For some unknown reason, I squinted my eyes shut as a shrill noise suddenly engulfed my ears.
"Forgive me, Cresancia, but-"
"W-Wilston, please…" I forced a hard swallow as I kept hearing the shrill noise in my ear.
It's attacking me again.
"Cresencia?" Wilston grabbed my shoulder as soon as he noticed the change in my expression.
"P-Please get me out of here..." I begged.
I can feel the painful and powerful pounding of my chest again, along with the beads of sweat dripping down my brow. I tried to calm down and open my eyes, but all I saw was an image of a man, smiling at me with a knife in his hand.
"No... P-Please no..." I cried, struggling to speak as I felt my body begin shaking because of fear.
I felt Wilston touch my cheek.
"Cresancia! Are you all right?! What's happening…" Wilston's voice became an echo in my ears and, before I realized it, my surroundings were already spinning, and suddenly… everything went black.
