Navigating Cute Boys and Frogs

ABS-solutely (Lindsey’s POV)

                   Blue Eyes: Pretty sure 

              this is the best day ever. I’ll

         meet u at my car after practice ;)

        Would it be okay if I said, “haha just kidding” right now? Ugh, why did I have to be so brave and say that? When Jonas is in front of me, I want nothing more than to rip his clothes off, but now that he’s not, I’m second guessing myself. I know I need to text my mom and tell her I invited a boy over, she won’t care, and she won’t be home until late, but I don’t want to ruin our trust. I’ve had Jake and Jason over plenty of times throughout school, with Aria, but never a boy I wanted to be with. I feel like I need to also tell Jonas that I’m a virgin. He hasn’t brought it up, but I think it’s pretty obvious that he isn’t one. I don’t want him to think we are going all the way tonight, and I’m alittle nervous, because I know that’s how my text came off.

       I decide to deal with the easier of the two, and shoot my mom a text letting her know, Jonas is coming over. She responds a couple minutes later. 

             Mom: ok baby girl, I’m super         

          busy right now, but you know the      

      rules, I want to talk about this boy, I   

                              just can’t

           right now. Remember, I trust you

          until you give me a reason not too!

                       I love you sweet girl! 

     The rest of the day passes fast, and before I know it, we are finishing up cheer practice. The football team has a home game Friday, against one of the other local schools, so Jenny is reminding us to wear our uniforms to school. While she’s rambling, I take a peak through my lashes at the field. Jonas is standing with Jake and Jason, Jake must be telling an extravagant story because the other guys are laughing while Jake’s hands are flying around his face. But, that’s not what is creating the blush on my face, it’s that all three boys are standing with their pads and helmets wrapped over their shoulders, shirtless. Jonas’ skin has a slight glisten to it, which is making me drool. I can see his six pack from here! 

      I look over at Aria, who is standing next to me, and start laughing instantly. She has the same exact look on her face as I do, but I know she’s looking at Jason. She looks at me laughing too, and starts shaking her head. 

      “Girl I feel like he’s the biggest juiciest steak I’ve ever seen, and I haven’t eaten in a year.” She cackles. I bust up laughing at her, but stop when I see the boys headed our way. Aria looks at me with round eyeballs, knowing we just got caught checking them out.

       Jonas tracks me the entire way, starting at my white cheer sneakers, up my legs that are covered in black spandex workout leggings, his eyes hover on my bare stomach, then raise to my chest, which is covered by a green halter style sports bra. Finally, his eyes raise to mine, and I swear they are two shades darker than normal. I can feel the goosebumps spreading down my spine. 

       “Linds, if you keep looking at me like that, we aren’t going to make it out of the parking lot.” Jonas says when they reach us.

       “Bro tell me about it, I could feel Aria’s eyes on me a mile away.” Jason laughs.

      Aria elbows him in the stomach, which makes the guys laugh. We share an eye roll as I say,

     “Oh please. We weren’t looking at you guys, we were checking out Jake!” I say with a wink.

     “Yeah we were! Jake, have you been working out cause seriously, your abs are drool worthy.” Aria adds in. 

     Jason and Jonas look unimpressed, but Jake perks up. He hands his pads to Jason, and wraps his arms around Aria and I on either side of his body. 

     “Ladies! I’m so glad you are finally appreciating the fine specimen that I am! This is why you girls will always be my favorite.” He laughs as he drags us away from the other two toward the gym. Aria and I continue to egg Jake on, only stopping once we get to the door to the guys locker room.

     “I’m enough man for the both of you girls, so if you want to wait, we can all three go back to my house.” Jake says raising his eyebrows suggestively. 

      “Okay Casanova, that’s enough hitting on my girl.” Jonas says, as Jason and him both pull us away from Jake’s arms. Aria and I both crack up as Jake winks and starts to say something, when both Jonas and Jason wrestle him into the locker room, telling him to knock it off repeatedly. Jonas turns around at the door and says, “ I’m going to shower quick, I’ll meet you at my car, black Mustang.” Jake sticks his head out the door and says, “you can still change your mi-,” before he’s pushed back inside the door. 

      Aria and I walk away, laughing at their antics, when I run smack into Amber. Ugh. She always has to try to ruin my great mood. She sends me a hateful glare and says, “Soon he will realize you aren’t worth the time, don’t get comfortable Loser.” Shoving her shoulder into mine, and heading out to the parking lot. But, it’s too bad for Amber, because I refuse to let her ruin my night.
