Kai and I both walk over to the other side and sit on the chairs under the shade of a tree. The guests start arriving before we could even speak a word. Kai excuses himself and walks over to the stack of tiny water bottles to distribute amongst them. I watch as he smiles and hands them the bottles. A smile of my own takes over my face as I stare at him. I don’t deny my feelings now, I just let them be. Is it wrong of me? Maybe. Am I going to act on it? No. A firm no.
