"I'll be away for business this weekend." Matthew says while pushing his plate away and stands up.
I nod as he wears his suit jacket. “I'll be leaving on Friday morning and will be back on Sunday. If you want to stay at your Mom's again, you can."

I smile and sign. "Okay."
He leans in for a kiss and then leaves. I sigh and take my seat to have breakfast. Monday mornings are no fun. But I have got a good news now. Matthew being away for a whole weekend feels like the removal of a sniper target from you.
Though, I probably would be spending it alone. I'm not ready to face Rose again. She is currently staying with mom for a while. She is facing some financial issues and doesn't have a place to live. Maybe that triggered her outburst over me last weekend.
