I keep the last of my things in place as the kids file out of the class with their bags strapped on their shoulders. I look at the door and smile seeing Kai waving them kids goodbye with a happy Thanksgiving wish. It’s Wednesday, a day prior to thanksgiving and one more day added to my way to freedom.
