Chapter 6

Fatima

When we reached the hospital, Aria went to the cafeteria first to buy some food. I decided to proceed to Kevin's room. I went to the elevator, and I'm shocked to see whose in there... Jacob's brother.

He came out without giving me a look. I enter the elevator and push the button. Before it closed totally, Jacob's brother entered. I'm startled by his actions, so I step backward. He pinned his hands on my right side and his other hand to my left side. I'm trapped.

“Wh...what do you want?” I tried to speak with authority.

“You,” he said, as he moves his head close to me. “I think I need to teach you a lesson” before he succeeds on his dark plan, I jerk my hands away from him and I'm surprised when he let it go.

“A lesson? I think you're the one who needs to learn a lesson!” I shouted.

He looks at me with amusement, and I am hypnotized by his green eyes.

“Then teach me a lesson,” he said.

“Why should I do that?”

“Because you can” I'm confused.

“You're crazy” he steps forward again, I looked into his eyes and I saw a desire rising. I remember Jacob... I close my eyes and heard a different sound.

“Stop Jacob!” I heard Aria's voice. I opened my eyes and saw Jacob at the top of his brother's, and he's punching him so hard.

“Stop with your nonsense Eros! You can't destroy everyone's lives again!” he shouted with anger, and then he gave his brother another punch. Jacob's brother just laughed at him while his blood slowly flows from His mouth.

“I destroyed lives huh? All my fault? Remember who destroyed me first!” he shouted and take Jacob's position. Now he's on top and Jacob on the bottom. He punched Jacob so hard on the face, stomach and wherever his fist touched, he just punched.

“You're a deceiver! A great deceiver!” he shouted and gave Jacob another punch on the face.

I can't take it anymore. I ran towards them and with all my strength, I pushed Jacob's brother away from Him. He shouted and grab me.

“What?!” he said and I saw the anger and sadness in his eyes. There's also blood slowly flowing down from his face. I touched the blood flowing from his face using my free hand and look at his eyes. His reaction was different from what I'm expecting. I saw a tear fell from his eyes, he let go of my hand and walk away.

“Aria, don't be a fool again. Leave him. “ Jacob's brother said without looking back, and then he left.

With my confused mind, I still managed to help Aria bring Jacob to the doctor. He lost his senses after what Eros did to him.

Eros.

It means love. That is the name of Jacob's brother according to Uncle Tom. He told me to stay away from Him. He is one of the leaders of Kevin's fraternity. Uncle Tom described Eros's life's different from his name's meaning. Eros's life is full of Hatred and sadness.

Aria and I decided to stay at the cafeteria, I visited Kevin earlier, and he didn't speak to me. But I'm happy because he's now cooperating with his parents. He agreed to stay with them again. I hope this is the start for Kevin to fix his life.

“I'm sorry for what you saw earlier,” Aria said. I just looked at her with a confused smile. I remember what Eros told Aria before he left.

“Aria don't be a fool again... Leave him”.

He said it with authority. What happened between Aria and Jacob?

“Hey, are you okay?” Aria said she looks worried.

“I'm fine” I lied

“Serious talk Fatima. Do you want to ask something?” she said.

“How do you know Eros?” I asked.

“He's a good old friend,” she said with sadness on her face.

“Good? Old friend?” I emphasize the 'good' one.

“Yes. He's a good person..... Before.” I just nod and never ask again. Aria's face while talking about Eros is so sad.

“Can I ask you a question, Fatima”

“What is it?”

“Is evil born? Or it is made?”

“I believe it is made” I answer.

“All hatred and sadness start from innocence and trust,” she said and finished her coffee. “I have to go, Fatima, I need to meet some clients today.” I waved goodbye and then she left. I remained at the cafeteria and tried to think of what she said.
