Chapter 12

The days turned into weeks, and the group struggled to come to terms with Malaysia's departure. Lysa and Ryder's relationship blossomed, but the guilt of hurting Malaysia lingered.

Bysha, Huda, and Dylan tried to stay neutral, but it was clear that the dynamics of their friend group had changed forever.

One evening, as Lysa and Ryder sat together on the campus lawn, Lysa turned to him with a sombre expression. "Ryder, do you ever think about Malaysia?"

Ryder's eyes clouded over, his voice barely above a whisper. "All the time, Lysa."

Lysa's eyes welled up with tears. "I miss her, Ryder. I miss our friendship."

Ryder pulled Lysa into a hug, holding her tightly. "I know, Lysa. Me too."

As they sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, they knew that their lives would never be the same without Malaysia...

Ryder noticed the faraway look in her eyes and asked, "What's wrong, Lysa?"

Lysa's voice was barely above a whisper. "I was just thinking about Malaysia. I wondered what could have been if things had turned out differently."

Ryder pulled Lysa into a hug, holding her tightly. "We'll always cherish the memories we made with Malaysia, Lysa. But we have to move forward, knowing that life took us on different paths."
