8 Arianna Liam rubbed me raw, like salt in an open wound. I gritted my teeth and stalked to the bathroom. A splash of cold water on my face would do me good. The man was the most irritating person I had ever met. He had not been nice to me, and I was sure he hated me. I was surprised that he bothered to save my life. The bathroom was covered in dust. Whoever had lived here had abandoned the house and junkies had taken residence. Stepping over the bowls tossed on the side of the toilet, I splashed cold water on my face.
