Eli's usually indifferent face contorted with anger.
"You really are something. I guess I underestimated you—found yourself a big shot pretty fast."
"Answer me!" Eli demanded, his jaw clenching. "Are you with Sphinx now?"
There was a hint of panic in his voice, one he didn't even recognize himself.
I rolled my eyes. "What's it to you?"
I smirked. "We're broken up. Besides, you've already moved on, so why can't I?"
