Lena pov:
At 5pm,the makeup artist arrived and started attending to me immediately, after few minutes have passed another group of girls came in but with the way they look and the clothes they brought am sure that they came for a different job.
As they came in they greeted me with a smile and introduced theirselves the person i think is their leader ,who i think if i remember well is called Viola . I asked her why she was here and she said my husband told them to come to choose one of the clothes he picked out for her ,as my eyes glanced to the clothes they were alot and they all looked classy and elegant, which is kind of my style,so i told viola to pick out a simple but classy dress that also gives out elegancy.
After 5 mins she brought out 10 different dresses that look exactly as i asked for and then she told me to test them each, which i know it would stressful for me but decided to do it ,i have no choice.
When i was done with my makeup ,i thanked the lady and they left then i went on to check the dresses. few minutes have passed i decided to were a long blue silk dress that look elegant ,classic and simple at the same time.
And viola was very suprised by my choice and she said that i have good eyes, most especially it showed my curves at the right places,so i decided to wear it for the party. i thanked viola and her assistants as well for a job well done and would be calling them if i had anything wrong with my wardrobe, as they left, viola came back and told me break a leg ,which i responded with a smile and decided to get ready for the party because i have just 30 mins before the car my husband ordered to take me arrives.
At exactly 7pm ,the car arrived and i was called by one of the maids to come out, when i came out from the gate i saw a blue limousine waiting outside for me,first i was shocked and surprised, secondly it matched the colour of my outfit, thirdly i thought my husband was doing too much but anyways i felt this tears of joy in my heart and the driver came out and opened the door for me as i entered and he drove off.
it didnt take up to 40mins and we arrived at the arena, the driver came out opened the door and close it then led me into the hall.
As my eyes scanned the big hall ,it could tell that it was screaming luxury.
so as the driver led me to a VIP section and it was another big hall decorated beautifully than the one downstairs, though there were few people but they looked like VIPs ,no wonder they were kept in this other part of the hall it looked unreal like i was in another world ,i came to realizzation that i wasnt dreaming when the driver called me to draw back my attention. Then i saw him open a particular door and told me to go in,as i went in behold i saw the cold face of my husband eyes throwing daggers at me as if he would eat me at any moment.
So as i walked into the big room that was decorated in a grand way ,then shifted my attention to my husband thinking he was waiting for me to come to his side but unfortunately i didnt see him anymore ,i was thinking in my mind saying"he cant leave me here alone with nobody ,so i scanned the room looking for him but still couldnt find him till my eyes caught the back of a man that looks like my husband at the bartender ordering drinks ,so i went closer and found out it was him ,i decided to go and meet him but he was talking to a young lady, smiling and enjoying the conversation as i could see from the look of his face and come to think of it that was the first time i ever saw him smile at someone before apart from his friends ,i didnt feel comfortable by the sight of that for no reason though i know our relationship isnt based on true and natural love but decided to leave the hall upon knowing that i dont know the ways around but still went out.
she'd had enough and decided to step away, needing some fresh air. In her haste to leave the crowded hall, she didn't notice the door that led outside, and soon found herself lost in the unfamiliar corridors of the venue.
Panic began to rise as she walked down dimly lit hallways, her heels clicking on the marble floor. She quickened her pace, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Suddenly, she stumbled upon a stairwell and decided to take it, hoping to find a way out.
As she reached the ground floor, she spotted a quiet café tucked away in a corner. Exhausted and overwhelmed, she slipped into a chair, ordering a cup of tea to calm her nerves. The soft music and gentle hum of conversation enveloped her, providing a temporary escape from her worries.
Just as she was starting to compose herself, her phone buzzed with a text from her husband: "Where are you? I've been looking everywhere." She hesitated, unsure how to respond. Part of her wanted to confront him, while another part just wanted to go home and process her emotions in private.
She typed out a response, her fingers hesitating over the keyboard. "I'm fine. Just needed some air. I'll meet you outside." She hit send, her mind racing with the implications of their arrangement. Their marriage had been one of convenience. Love hadn't been part of the equation.
As she finished her tea, she gathered her thoughts and stood up, smoothing out her dress. She made her way outside, where Dan was waiting by the car, a look of concern etched on his face. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, opening the door for her.
"Nothing," she replied, her voice neutral. "Just overwhelmed." The drive home was silent, the tension between them palpable. Once they arrived, she went straight to their bedroom, locking the door behind her. She needed space to think, to process her feelings and decide what to do next.
The next morning, she found her husband in the study, working on his laptop. "We need to talk," she said.
