Be Ready

It was evening time. She was playing football with her brothers on the road in front of her house. Mia, who used to stay alone in her room, now spends her time cycling and playing football with her brothers. Her brother kicked the football so hard that it skipped a couple of houses and landed on the lawn crossing the boundary of the largest house in the area. The three of them stopped and looked at each other. "Michael, why did you throw it so far? Now you will go and bring the football. I will not go.” His brothers started fighting among themselves. Mia's eyes looked towards the black and brown colored combination house where no one lived for some time and she was afraid to go there because it was always dark. "Mia, you go. You are big and brave too...” Her brothers provoked her, so she started looking at them in shock. "But I…” She hesitated; the house was immersed in a strange cold silence. "Mia, please bring the ball." Thinking about something, she walked cautiously when she reached the desolate fence of this house and started looking into the lawn. The ball was lying in front of her. Mia turned around to see the brothers motioning for her to leave. She nodded and moved on. Between the fences was a small wooden door-like board which she opened and stepped forward. When she reached the ball and bowed, she felt that someone was standing in front of the house in the darkness watching her. After a while, fear woke up in her. "Throw my ball quickly." The voice of her brothers took her off of a fence. She regained consciousness and straightened up and threw the ball at them. They took the ball and went towards the house laughing happily. Mia also started to take steps, but it was as if the earth was holding her from that place. She saw the brothers going away with her eyes widening with fear. "Looking at you, I thought you had changed. But inside, you are still the same.” She stopped in her place and felt a heavy voice near her. "Who are you?" Mia dared to turn her neck and look, but she could not see anything except a shining black cloak. "Isn't it possible that if you see me, you will remember those five months of your life and every moment and every moment that passed in them?" The heavy smiling voice had startled her before she thought of something. He took her from behind. "You have missed me in your sleep at night. You've been dreaming of me, little thing...” He was holding her in his arms. Mia was shocked. Is he talking about those dreams where she used to see that beautiful face shining in the moonlight in a black cloak? Is that him? "Shadow Man." Mia gave him the same name again at a new meeting after a while. The gray-silver-eyed Reesan laughed uncontrollably. She had forgotten her fear, the shadows of the evening were spreading, her brothers had gone home talking. That deserted house where no one even wandered near, Mia was standing there at that time, completely alone in the enclosure of a completely unknown existence. And she didn't realize it. "Shadow Man. I have been seeing the same dream for the last six months." Mia was looking at him, half of his face hidden in a black cloak. "Exactly this picture, so are you and me, among the flowers. Do you know me? Have we met before?” she was getting nervous asking him. Resaan bent down and saw her curious face. Once before, she had recognized him by his reflection of dreams, by seeing the embodiment, and even today too. Before, there was Reesan's world, then Mia was scared and the style was different. Today was Mia's world, today she was curious and today she was watching him fearlessly. The story was the same, the styles were different, and the story was being made new. "I know you. The place where you see yourself with me, that is my mansion where you stayed with me. You will remember everything when you go there." He leaned over her while speaking in a low tone and touched both her cheeks alternately with his lips. Mia was looking at him, shocked at his audacity. Was there such a relationship between them? Reesan hugged her to his chest and Mia closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. And when she opened her eyes, she was in her room and no one was around. She ran to the window and looked down at the dark house. There was no one there; the darkness of the night had spread. She was just there in that place, so how was she in the room? Mia looked at her hands, those hands she had placed on the shadowy man's chest while he was hugging her; the touch still remained on her hands. He touched his cheeks, which were blushing. If everything was true, then where did he go who was so close to her some time ago? She was lost in herself thinking about the Reesan. And Reesan, stepping into his own world, turned around with a smile and sharp eyes saw the yellow light coming from the small window of the small house far away. "Get ready to come to me, Heartbeat." He whispered, turned around and went into his own world.
