Raven was preparing to go to bed when a knock sounded on the door.
Raven frowned.
Who would be looking for her this late?
Another knock came.
She stood and walked over.
“Who is it?”
“It’s me.”
Raven froze.
Seraphina.
She opened the door just enough to look outside.
Seraphina stood in the hallway.
Raven immediately stepped out and pulled the door shut behind her.
“What do you want?”
Seraphina raised an eyebrow. “You don’t want me to come into your room?”
“It’s late,” Raven replied, folding her arms.
“I can see that.”
Seraphina looked at her for a moment. Then she smiled.
“I came to check on you.”
Raven almost laughed. “Since when?”
“Since tonight.” Seraphina rolled her eyes.
“I’m fine.”
“Are you?”
