Chapter five

the next day...

the sun rays and chirping of birds woke Leory up from his deep slumber. he sat up and peered at Jonah, who curled his body and turned to the other side of the bed prevent the sun rays from getting into his eyes.

Leory stretched his long body, due to fatigue of the party hosted the previous night in their honor.

"Jonah, Jonah? wake up, it's morning already." Leory informed him and his eyes fluttered open.

"already?" Jonah asked and used his elbows to support himself.

"looks like someone's scared." Leory teased him.

"I ain't scared of nothing." he defended and Leory took his toothbrush and added some paste on it then began to brush his teeth and walk to the bathroom. Jonah sat up and stretched his rather thickset body, he yawned and rubbed his eyes.

"we've gotta hurry, don't wanna create a bad impression on the visitors." Leory said from the bathroom.

"then, you better hurry." Jonah replied.

Minutes later....

Leory and Jonah were on their way to the school master's office and students stopped to stare at them, the girls sighed.

" looks like you've got yourself a bunch of girlfriends." Leory teased and Jonah nudged him on his shoulder. " ouch. what was that for?" he asked.

"keep your mouth shut. or next time, it's gonna be more painful." he warned.

" how was your night Kaira?" Leory asked with affection.

"great." she replied and smiled.

"you know, it would have been more better if I had a girlfriend." Jonah said involuntarily.

"then go get yourself one." Leory replied and Jonah nodded in disappointment and they walked into the admin office, and straight to the school master's office. the men were waiting, after some tea, they exchanged pleasantries and walked to the waiting stretch Limousine. a servant took their baggage and put in the booth of the car and walked in. the car moved away slowly. Leory felt relief as some students waved them goodbye. relieved with the fact that Angel academy was up to one hundred kilometers away from Conflux Arcana, away from Percy. the trio felt elated in their long journey

the journey continued for more than they could keep record of and soon they dozed off.

after about an hour or so or even more we gentle rough hand shook them awake.

"are we to there yet?" Jonah asked and a pleasant female face shook her head negatively.

"all right kids, come on." a voice commanded and they reluctantly sat up. "go in there, get your suits and everything you need. Chris is your guide." the guy pointed at a young looking man with trim face and he was awed by how young they were, but dared not asking questions.

He took them past the place where different suits were made from different textile materials. He took them to where their measurements were taken and their suits produced at that instant, given to them in boxes.

" let's go and pay." Chris said gently and took them to a door labeled MD. they slowing opened the door and a flabby woman sat on a chair which threatened to collapse if care was not taken. she expressed her surprise at how young they were.

"ermm, Chris. are these the new recruits?" asked and put on rimless glasses which added a little charm to her aging face.

"yes madam. I too am surprised, but to think of it, they may not be too bad." Chris said and winked at Leory who felt uncomfortable.

" I hope so. I heard of what you guys did. If you all upgrade. you guys are going to do great." she said and looked at Jonah who was mopping around.

" this one seems very curious." she said referring to Jonah who returned from his journey. " I'll cut down the money." she said. " And a special gift for you three." She said and brought out three bracelets from a box. " they're veeery special, so always put them on. Someday, they might be helpful. hope you all enjoy your stay here." She said as the Chris brought out a sack of gold coins and dropped it on the table they took the bracelets and wore it. A small glow and soon it stopped.

" goodbye madam. till new recruits come. I'm always here." she said and they walked to the car where the man was waiting.

" You guys wasted time. what were you doing? kissing?" The man asked lacking any sense of humor. " kids Chris is going to be your guide through your first week in the academy. Get into the car." He said and they entered. the car slowly drove off the textile industry's premises, into the fast setting sun. heading west.
