men in ragged clothes, which were dirty probably slaves dug the ground mining for gold and other minerals. a foreman inspected them and others followed whiping any man who hesitated in doing his work.

two men carried bricks. one was older and the other was younger and looked promising, he looks back at the Men who whipped the others and shook his head .

"it seems like you do not understand my points Decker." the older man spoke up.

"I can't possibly do it, this offer I know will free us but I cannot do this to my wife and my son what would my generations say?" Decker asked.

"you are most stronger and most youngest of us all, the Queen will probably want you not us rusty old men." the older man said and then the taskmasters noticed their interrogation and stomped angrily towards them.

"get to work you two. if I get anyone speaking with another, they shall be punished" he warned, raising his voice for other workers to hear. the two men obeyed parting to their different workstations and using sign language to communicate. soon everyone was done and every man returned back to his home cabin which one situated in a place somewhat like a camp.

Decker walked to his cabin and when he got home he found nobody, he then used the time to take his bath, and wear fresh clothes. he sat on a chair in front of the house waiting for his wife and son who are probably getting water due to water had been scarce that morning.

soon he saw the figure of his wife and his little son as they carried jars of water and walked to his direction, his wife was smiling

"I would be done with cooking soon." his wife said.

"Christopher." he called his son, who stopped and answered him. "how do you feel about freedom?" he asked holding the shoulders of the young boy.

"I feel everyone should have it." the boy replied, by then his mother has filled the biggest of water in the house and listened.

"please Decker, do not involve this little boy in your struggle." she opted and he looked at her.

"you do not understand woman, go and prepare dinner I am famished." he said and she complied he looked into his son's eyes and saw one thing. hope. hope for the future and he felt the boy had this heart and they were of one mind.

"Leory? Leory? Leo.." Leory heard Kaira's voice and slowly returned to reality.

"good gracious. how long had I been in this loop?" he asked looking at the searching faces of his friends.

"probably an hour or so." Jonah replied.

"are you guys done with your training?" he asked and Kaira nodded.

"Jonah lost to Haruna the Giant." she said sarcastically and Jonah frowned.

"he's no giant." Jonah protested as Leory looked at his friends with wonder.

"your literary defending your opponent to won you in a match or a battle should I say, which didn't last up to one hour." she mocked him and Jonah felt embarrassed.

"I understand he's just got gigantism in his blood there is no need to insult him. I too never thought I'd last longer fighting Percy." Leory defended and stood up.

"let's go." he said and they walked out of the building he did not bother to tell Miss Elena goodbye.

just outside, they met Percy who gave Leory an icy stare. Leory pretended he did not see it and walked past him and his group.

"who's the loser staring at?" Kaira asked him.

"probably me." Leory replied. and just then the emergency bell rang, all students ran to the Assembly Hall and lined up.

the school master stood on the podium, his wrinkles seemed to appear more which showed greater and worry.

"students of Conflux Arcana. today I regret to inform you that we are now very insecure, the barriers had been attacked last night and the eight elders are sending messages. listen to the current one just to received today." he said and Mr Molly the vice principal set down a golden sphere on the floor he pressed and emerald and specs of pixie dust flew forming images of eight elders sitting on thrones.

Leory's father began to speak.

"Decapolis is under attack, we need more workforce. Hogwarts has risen with more power than we can take. Mr Tyrone please release the students, even my son should come back we need more help that we can get." he said and the specs of dust went back into the sphere then it's closed. Mr Molly picked it and put in his pocket.

just then the ground began to shake.

" barrier breaking this could be exciting." Kaira said and follow the student who ran to the sound origin.

two beast, one like a buffalo and the other look like a tiger or a lion but they both had metal armor on. some scared students ran away, while the brave ones took back brandishing their weapons.

soon the buffalo use it's horn and broke the weak barrier. the two beasts charged towards the students knocking off anyone who came in their way. Kaira raise her hand and a rope with a dagger at the end appeared in a hand. she was the first to move in her grace she flew up and landed at the back of the buffalo which dance madly trying to throw the punny thing which had landed on its back, while she buried The Dagger on its neck, it finally threw her off balance and she was on the floor gasping. she stood up slowly, Jonah the next to move. he picked a stone and threw it at the tiger beast, getting to its face, the stone grew giant and hit the unsuspecting animal. it shook its head and charged on, Jonah felt disappointed. Leory then moved next, with a great speed, his right fist collided with the face of the buffalo causing a brutal mortal wound and it was down, growling, before dieing slowly. now to face the stronger one.

Leory slid and a golden bow and arrow appeared in his right hand, he was under the beast and he shot the arrow. the beast released an agonizing and piercing growl, then he kicked Leory far away. Kaira took, the second risk. she faded and appeared on the back of the already weak beast, she raised her hands and conjured many daggers, she then covered herself with a ward and it began to rain daggers on the beast, it slowed down and a big fist hit it's jaw, that was Jonah's. Kaira jumped down from the beast and it crashed down to the floor. the duo ran to where Leory lay and raised his head.

"did we do it?" he asked and Kaira nodded. " where's my bow and arrow? it's special, it has to be kept s...." he could not continue as his consciousness slipped away. the students celebrated the heroes and high level staffs began to create another ward. Leory was taken to the dispensary.
