CHAPTER FIVE Outside of warring, Ebube spent his time hunting leopards. But there was no time to hunt leopard these days; Ebube was fully occupied organising raids. He was Azuka’s only heir, but had never given much thought to inheriting the priesthood of Ibiniukpabi. As far as he was concerned, the gods could choose someone else from Oke Nnachi or Eze Agwu, the other two villages that made up Arochukwu. Unusual for an African man, Azuka had not taken a second wife during Obioma’s lifetime or after her death. This caused the villagers to begin to doubt his s****l virility.
