Narrow to freedom and peace As the darkness persisted, Eustina's mind raced with thoughts of betrayal and deceit. She couldn't believe Jeff, someone she trusted, was actually working against her. She tried to process the revelation, but her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps echoing through the room. "Who's there?" Eustina called out, her voice firm but laced with fear. There was no response, but the footsteps grew louder, closer. Eustina's heart raced as she tried to make sense of the situation. Suddenly, the lights flickered back on, and she saw Jeff standing before her, a sly smile spreading across his face. "You're a clever one, Eustina," Jeff said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "But you'll never expose Miguel's empire. You'll never leave this place alive." Eustina's eyes widened as she realised the gravity of her situation. She was trapped, with no escape in sight. But she refused to give up. She knew she had to think fast, come up with a plan to outsmart Jeff and his cohorts. As Jeff took a step closer, Eustina noticed a glimmer of light coming from the corner of the room. It was a small window, slightly ajar. Without hesitation, she made a break for it, dashing towards the window with all her might. "Alex, help!" she yelled, hoping her friend would come to her aid. But as she reached the window, she felt a hand grab her arm, pulling her back. She struggled, kicked, and punched, but the grip was too strong. Eustina was trapped, at the mercy of Jeff and his empire. Will Alex come to Eustina rescue? Or will she escape on her own? Just as all hope seems lost, Eustina heard a loud crash from the other side of the room. She turned to see Alex and another figure, a woman with a determined look on her face, taking down Jeff and his accomplices. "Come on, Eustina!" Alex yelled, rushing towards her. "We have to get out of here, now!" Eustina didn't need to be told twice. She broke free from her captor's grip and sprinted towards Alex and the mysterious woman. Together, they made a dash for the window, climbing out into the night air just as the room erupted into chaos. As they hit the ground running, Eustina turned to the woman and asked, "Who are you?" "I'm Maya, a former journalist who's been investigating Miguel's empire for months," she replied, her eyes scanning the rooftops for any signs of danger. "I've been tracking Jeff's movements, waiting for the perfect moment to strike." Eustina nodded, grateful for Maya's timely intervention. "Thanks for saving us. We owe you one." Maya smiled. "We're not out of the woods yet. We need to get to a safe house, fast." As they ran through the winding streets, Eustina realized that she had finally found allies in her quest for truth. With Alex and Maya by her side, she felt a sense of hope she hadn't felt in days. But as they turned a corner, Eustina's heart skipped a beat. There, standing in front of a black SUV, was Miguel himself, a cold smile spreading across his face. "Well, well, well," he said, his voice dripping with menace. "Look what we have here. The little whistleblower, caught in the act." Eustina knew she had to think fast. She couldn't let Miguel silence her now, not when she was so close to exposing the truth. Will Eustina and her allies manage to outsmart Miguel and his empire, or will they fall into a deadly trap? Miguel's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing through the darkness. "You're a foolish girl, Eustina. You think you can take on my empire and win?" Eustina stood tall, her heart racing with fear, but her voice firm. "I'm not afraid of you, Miguel. I have the truth on my side." Miguel sneered. "The truth? Ha! You have nothing but lies and speculation. And even if you did have proof, do you think anyone would believe you? I have the power, the influence, and the resources to silence you forever." Eustina knew she had to think fast. She couldn't let Miguel intimidate her, not now. She glanced around, taking in the deserted street, the dark alleys, and the flickering streetlights. She spotted a small camera shop across the street, its neon sign reading "24/7 Surveillance". Without hesitation, Eustina made a break for the shop, Alex and Maya following close behind. They burst through the door, slamming it shut behind them, and locked it. The shop owner, a gruff old man with a kind face, looked up from his desk. "What's going on here?" Eustina explained the situation, her words tumbling out in a rush. The old man listened intently, his expression grave. "I can help you," he said finally. "I have a secure line to the authorities. We can get you protection, get you out of here." Eustina nodded, relief washing over her. But as they waited for the authorities to arrive, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. She kept glancing out the window, expecting to see Miguel's goons lurking in the shadows. And then, just as they were about to leave, Eustina spotted a figure across the street. It was Jeff, his eyes fixed on her with a cold, calculating gaze. "Guys, it's Jeff," Eustina whispered, her heart racing. "He's here." Alex and Maya turned, their eyes scanning the street. The old man reached for his phone, dialing a number with shaking hands. But before anyone could react, Jeff pulled out a gun, aiming it straight at Eustina. "You're not going anywhere," he sneered. "Miguel wants you silenced, permanently." Eustina froze, her mind racing. She knew she had to act fast, but what could she do against a gun? And then, out of nowhere, a figure leapt from the shadows, tackling Jeff to the ground. The gun went off, the sound echoing through the street, but Eustina was safe. The figure stood up, brushing himself off. It was a young man, his eyes blazing with determination. "I'm Lucas, a journalist," he said. "I've been investigating Miguel's empire too. We have to get you out of here, now." Eustina nodded, gratitude washing over her. She knew she had found an ally in Lucas, someone who would stop at nothing to expose the truth. Week later, on the Eustina mobile phone range, she couldn't believe the news from the phone, she couldn't control her thoughts. Who is this international number ? Is this an Appointment call? Or a plot to destroy me? Hello Miss Eustina, come to my office. Eustina's eyes widened in surprise. Eustina never knew, t his is Destiny call that will transform her life to multi billionaire with powers and honour.
