Chapter Four Contemplations of the Degraded Rachel settled back in the tanned leather as Mrs. McEvers—no, Lisa, she reminded herself again mentally—guided the Benz downtown, chatting amiably at the girl all the while. So this was what a professor drove, noted one little corner of her mind. The outside of the silver sedan was smooth and stylish, and the inside was plush and quiet, furnished in rich leather and polished wood.
