The Kissing Booth A New Chapter

THANKSGIVING

NPOV 

The weeks leading up to Thanksgiving was hard between hiding my plans from Shelly and midterms everything was getting to me, luckily though our literature class was taken care of by us dressing as Anne and Gilbert.  Planning the party without Shelly knowing and finding out who out of all our friends were going to be there.  Talking to the family explaining that I wanted them there for the beginning of the party and that Shelly couldn't know.  Unfortunately, she found out about the party, but I didn't mind what I didn't want her to know about was what no one knew I had planned.  I hope I am not wasting my time.  Making sure to take out the little surprise that Brad brought me when he visited since I thought then would be a good time I realized I was wrong.  I realized it needed to be with our friends and family the people that saw our love begin. 

EPOV 

The weeks leading up to Thanksgiving were driving me crazy both Noah and Lee were acting like idiots, and our midterms were stressing me out thankfully our Literature midterm was taken care of since Noah, and I dressed up as Anne and Gilbert.  Every time I walked into a room, the two of them would get quiet.  When I would facetime Bradley, he would hang up and call me instead  I was starting to get mad until I  got the idea to call Brad from my school account and he answered, and I saw all the decorations for a party behind him.  I found out that Noah and Lee were planning a Thanksgiving party and didn't tell me those two dorks are in so much trouble.  You should have seen their faces after I started yelling at them for being inconsiderate assholes. Yet, I feel as if Noah is still hiding something from me; I only hope it is not going to break me again. I don't think I could make it this time.

Ahh, Noah is driving me crazy between midterms, and this scheming he has me doing hiding this party from Elle is not easy.  He even has the little man in on it, and he is going crazy since Elle keeps trying to facetime him and that is how we all were busted.  It turns out Elle has an account through the school, and crazy Brad didn't stop to think about answering an unknown call, and well Shelly saw all the decorations.  Well, I guess it was bound to happen.  I had just finished packing and putting my suitcase next to the door when I see Noah and Elle come out with there's.  "You two ready to go to the airport."  They nod, and Shelly looks at me, "remember Lee let us tell them that we are sharing a room and that William is in the old guest room."  "Ok, I will calm down."  With that, William walks out and nods to all of us, "Are you sure your family won't care if I come along."  I laughed, "Are you kidding me June, Mathew and my dad all love to feed and meet our friends."  Noah nods "remember let Shelly, and I explain our situation Max is still a little critical about us getting back together, but I can't say I don't blame him I screwed up.  Even my parents are mad at me about the whole situation and have threatened me if I hurt her again I will lose an appendage I am quite fond of that has been with me all my life."  I wonder the way my brother has been acting I wonder if just maybe Nah he wouldn't it is way too soon. 

EPOV 

As we board the plane, I lean into Noah and snuggle up to him and let my eyes close as we head for home and LAX.  I could still hear William laughing, "I still can't believe you guys left Boston wearing shorts and t-shirts; it is the middle of winter."  I laughed, "wait till we get off all the crap you put on is going to be killing you when we hit LAX.  Remember Will this is LA, not Boston."  As we get down, I start to watch Will peel off the layers and start laughing, "Told you, and we are not even outside yet."  After collecting our luggage, we head outside, and I turn to Noah, "So, who is picking us up this trip."  All of a sudden, I hear "THERE SHE IS THE SWEETEST TOUGHEST SOCCER PLAYER EVER TO GRACE BUCKNER HALL THE HOT AND SEXY ELLE EVANS."  I turn around and see Duncan waving at us, and I start laughing before running up to him and giving him a big bear hug.  "Hey, there dork what are you doing here?"  Believe it or not, I am your Uber driver.  I gave little Flynn my information since I do this part-time to make extra cash for picking up the ladies."  I groan, "please tell me you are not trying to take over Noah's or Tuppen's positions as the players of Buckner Hall."  "Nope just UCLA."  I smack him upside the head just as Noah, Lee and Will walk up.  Noah looks at Duncan, "hey Duncan, need I remind you to stop hitting on my Shelly."  "Ah, come on Flynn it is fun hitting on Evans especially when you make her blush.  Although it seems you had made that a little more difficult lately, she didn't blush when I called her sexy.  Flynn have you corrupted the innocent, never been kissed, Elle Evans."  I started laughing, "you seem to forget the kissing booth our Junior year Duncan that went out the window when Noah here kissed me."  "Yeah, but I still love to think about it the innocent Elle Evans the girl who had never been kissed running a kissing booth with her bestie Lee Flynn who didn't want her dating his big brother the bad boy of Buckner Hall only known as Flynn gets roped into doing the booth by her bestie.  Only to end up kissing said big brother the bad boy Flynn.  Now the rest is history and our sweet Elle Evans is no more."  I laugh, "Duncan shut up and take us home."  I jump in the back seat with Noah and Will, and Lee does the introductions and explains how we met Will. 

Once we arrive at the house, everyone grabs us and hugs us tight while Duncan sets the luggage down "Well, I will see you guys on Friday."  As he takes off Brad grabs my bag and starts to run up the stairs with it, and I stop him "Brad wait we all need to talk about something well Noah, and I need to talk to the rents about something."  Noah walks up, "Yeah, little man, why don't you go with Lee and let Shelly and I talk to the rents."  As Lee leads him out Noah and I walk to the living room and before we could say anything June begins "Ok, we know you two are sharing a room.  Did you both forget the video cameras we put in for your safety?  Now, so that you know we don't know what led to the decision we don't check the video every day and unless you kids tell us something is up we delete it after a few days.  With that said we noticed that Will was moving into Elle's room and that was when we saw her go into your room Noah.  Yes, your father checked the camera, and we know you two have been sharing a room for a month, and we are ok with it, and as for here we all agree it can continue, but we would appreciate it if you respect us and yourselves and not..."  My dad had to speak up then "do anything unholy or as Lee loves to say gross."  We all started laughing, and Noah and I looked at each other and agreed. 

Thanksgiving came and went, and we had a blast.  The next day moving the food was loads of fun since we all were still in the middle of a holiday coma.  Noah had me get dressed in this dress he ordered for me online that swept to mid-calf that had a whimsical summer feel to it with an off the shoulder neckline with a bit of ruffle.  I felt like I had walked right off the pages of a romance book.  As I came downstairs, I was greeted by all our friends from Buckner and a few from Harvard.  I didn't understand why our Harvard friends where here but I just decided to have fun and enjoy being back where if I wanted to I could lay out in a bikini and get a tan.  About this time the music shuts off, and I hear Noah calling for me from the stairs holding a mic.  As I walk up to him, I  see everyone enter and gather around us while Noah clears his throat...

Damn, I don't know if I can do this.  I have been going crazy all night.  OK well it really hasn't been all night hell it has been only an hour since the party started and I know I have to do it soon since the rents are all going to a hotel and taking Brad to an amusement park since he says he is too old for Disney now.  I can't believe he is old enough to think that you are never too old.  Damn my dad just pointed at his watch to let me know they need to go soon.  Yeah, I finally told the rents why this was so important.  I take a deep breath and walk up to Tuppen and tell him, "when I give you the signal cut the music, I have something big planned."  "Ohh, tell me, tell me."  "Nope sorry dude I want it to be a big surprise for everyone not even Lee knows what I am up to tonight."  I watch him turn to the entertainment unit once he is positioned I grab the mic I have hidden by the stairs earlier in the night and take a deep breath.  As I walk up the stairs, I glance around the room looking for my sweet Shelly but can't find her anywhere.  I take another deep breath and nod to Tuppen who instantly cuts the music everyone groans as I lift up the mic and say, "Shelly baby, can you please come here."  I watch as she comes walking towards me in the blue summer dress I found for her with star flowers scattered around the dress.  Once she makes it up to me, I reach out and grasp her hands, taking another big gulp of air, I clear my throat...   

"My dear sweet sexy Shelly you don't realize what you do to me every time you are near me.  With just a look, a smile, your laugh that tells me your up to something or watching you sleep after you have had a long day, you drive me crazy.  Shelly, with everything you do or say you take my breath away every day.  I know I messed up and most girls wouldn't have given me another chance, but you are not most girls you are my Shelly.  I know this is so sudden and maybe a little early, but I have known for as long as I can remember that I love you.  I had known since that fateful day when Lee made you do the kissing booth after the OMG girls decided to pay you back and shoved you out on to the stage  I was shocked and nervous about kissing you because I loved you and didn't think you loved me too even though I thought you might.  When our lips touched, I knew you were the only girl for me.  So Rochelle my sweet innocent Shelly will you marry me?
