"The second thing I knew was my decision the minute they let me know they were interested. I told them no."  "Noah, I can't hold you back from your dreams.  Do I want us to be separated again with distance no I don't, but I can't have you regretting being with me by giving up on a dream?  Now don't lie to me, I know even though it was not your goal, you always thought what if you did get a chance to go pro.  So, as much as this hurts me to say I want you  to go for it."  "Shelly, I already turned them down. I told them I would not do this unless I can finish school.  They told me right now they are only interested they are not offering me a spot yet, but they wanted to inform me I am being singled out as a possibility.  Since I was told all this my thoughts turned to you and your dream and I know you still want to get your law degree, so I looked it up, and you  can do it all online and since you will be finishing your BA at the same time I finish mine because  you received credits due to your AP exams I can take you with me."

"First, off Noah, the only reason I was going to graduate with you is that I am taking fifteen hours this semester and next semester and if I take a full load both summer sessions plus fifteen house next fall and spring semesters. I wanted to graduate early so I can go to the law school faster since that is an additional three years. So, you would only have to wait three years here instead of four before we return home to LA."  "Ok, so how about we put this on the back burner until we have to face it who knows maybe by the time they come back around I will decide I  don't want to play pro football."  "Deal."  We decided that as for his pro career, we would not discuss it with anyone until the time came if it came.  We didn't want our family getting their hopes up to have it fall flat too many factors could change everything.  They could change their minds, Noah could change his mind since quarterbacks tend to suffer from concussions and the more you have, the higher the chance of you losing a normal life or worst-case scenario he could be hurt and unable to play again. 

I was sitting in the kitchen of our apartment finishing the final draft of my paper for literature class when Noah walked in "Shelly we need to talk."  I look up at him and hit print before grabbing his hand; he was holding out to me and following him to our bedroom.  He closes, locks the door, and walks up to the bed before having us both sit down.  I watch him take a deep breath, "promise me you will let me finish before you say anything."  "Yes." 

"I know that you want me to have my dreams Shelly, and that makes me love you more, but I can't help but feel as if you are pushing your dreams to the side for me.  I can't have that I will not have that we both deserve to have the life we both want.  I have been thinking, and I feel as if you are rushing things for me, I can't have that I won't have that.  You have already given up too much.  You let me back in yes, I had to work to get you back but I got you back, and we went from us being someone that used to be in each other's lives to engage in a month we rushed it all."  I hang my head and feel my breath catch, and my heart starts to race.  I didn't even realize I was crying until he lifted me onto his lap, lifted my chin so I could be looking in his eyes.  "Shelly, I am not leaving you again.  I can't do that I can't lose you again the worst time in my life was letting you go and watching you with other guys.  I won't survive if you are not in my life as mine.  You need to believe you are mine as I am yours, and that is the way it will always be.  I love you; you are my everything you are the reason I breathe."  I smile up at him and hug him and relax back so he could continue.  "I have been thinking about how quickly you are tying to finish your undergraduate work.  Not that I don't want you to finish school with me, but I do want you to enjoy it, baby.  I want you to enjoy your summers. I want you to love your time here and not think about it as a struggle there is no need for you to rush through school.  So, what if we don't finish together I can always get a job here that will eventually let me transfer to LA so you can finish everything at your own pace.  I can't have you burn out Shelly I know I won't handle it well.  One of my friend's girlfriend was trying so hard to get home as soon as she could to help support her siblings that by the end of her last semester, she was hospitalized.  I don't want that for you so, please think about taking your time to enjoy this time here in school let's build memories to tell our kids.  We have time for our  future."  I thought about what he had said and smiled big "your right Noah I don't have to worry about taking care of Bradley anymore, and it would be nice to go home with you and Lee during the summer and enjoy our family and friends instead of just during short breaks.  We could even visit the beach house and spend time away from everything like always.  I promise you I will slow down and if I do decide to take any classes during the summer, it will be only if the courses are strictly online."  He stood up, picked up, and spun me around "thanks Shelly I want you to be happy to remember my dreams now also include yours." 

Noah and I had decided we didn't want to wait too long before getting married so we decided that we would get married on July 13th, 2019 this coming summer because neither one of us could wait until I was Mrs. Noah Flynn.  I wanted to make sure every woman out there knew he was mine.  After finishing our last final my Flynn boys and I made sure there were no perishables in the refrigerator that would be bad when we returned from Christmas Break and locked up our apartment setting the alarm to fully active since we were going to be gone for a month.  The three of us started talking about the things we planned on doing when we arrived back home, and I couldn't help but say "oh, I am grabbing my bikini and getting some sun."  The look on our uber driver's face was priceless.  Lee laughed "Well, I am going swimming, and I bet my bro here is going for a ride."  I laughed, "Oh, no, he is not first we hang by the pool with our close peeps than Noah, and I go for a ride to our spot."  Noah pulls me close "definitely although I might need to inspect the bikini first because some of your attributes Shelly baby is not how they were when we left home last since they have been put to use recently."  He smirked at me while Lee covers his ears "gross gross gross why do you to have to be so gross hello don't need to know what my best friend and  bro are doing behind closed doors."

I started laughing, "ahh, Lee; you're just jealous that I am running away with your bro before we go have our bestie day down at the Boardwalk."  The Driver finally speaks up, "I hope you all don't think I am rude, but how can you all walk around in nothing but t-shirts, tennis shoes, jeans, and a light jacket."  We all started laughing, "Oh, we are going home to Cali the temp on average this time of year is in the '60s." He chuckled, "oh, no wonder you are all talking about hanging out by the pool.  I thought you all were some crazy polar group that swam in freezing waters."  We all looked at each other and shook our heads I laughed "ahh, hell no the pool we swim in is heated I am way too much of a California girl to swim in cold water."  He dropped us off at the airport and didn't take us long to get through security and be on our way home.

We had all requested Duncan to pick us up again so we could have fun and laugh all the way home.  We had to cancel our plans since all the rents took an early day so we could all go out to eat.  I ran home while everyone was getting ready at Lee's and took a shower, shaved what needed to be shaved and came out to get dressed.  What I didn't expect to find was Noah laying on my bed when I walked in only wearing a towel around my body, and one wrapped around my hair I screeched, and all he did was a laugh.  "Sorry, babe I missed you, so I came right over to spend some alone time while you got dressed."  I shook my head and grabbed my undergarments and dress before heading into the bathroom to get dressed I could hear him yell "hey no fair I wanted a show it's not like I haven't seen it all before."  After finishing getting dressed I walked into my room brushing my hair "yeah, but I have a feeling if I gave you a show we would not make it on time to dinner and neither of our parents will be happy."  After finishing up getting ready Noah grabbed me "damn Shelly baby you are beautiful.  I love all of you from the way you look first thing in the morning, right after a shower, right after a workout both on the field and especially in the bedroom, even now fresh and ready for a night out."  He leaned down and kissed me, and things started to get pretty heated until we heard from the doorway "gross, gross, gross knock it off you two; it is time to go."  We look up thinking it might be Lee, but nope it was Bradley, and he was making gagging faces."   

Once we all made it to the restaurant ordered our food and drinks I cleared my throat and looked around the table "Ok first off I know you all know I was planning on trying to finish school as soon as possible, but I have decided not to do that anymore.  I have decided that we will be coming home for summer and spend time as a family."  My dad being the goofball he is jumped up and lifted me spinning me around "Yes, I get my baby girl back home during the summer."  I giggled as he put me down, and the two of us sat down again.  I looked around again, "now Noah, and I have decided we would like to get married on July 13th since neither of us can wait until we are husband and wife.  Now before you all freak out NO I am not pregnant and no Noah is not rushing me I want this too.  I want a ring on his finger saying he is all mine."  Of course, June started going crazy about planning the wedding and Noah, and I just smiled and let her go wild for a while.  I grinned leaned in "you know this is going to be a long break your mom is going to be running us ragged so we can start planning."  "Yep, I do and wouldn't have it any other way."
