The Kissing Booth A New Chapter

CHRISTMAS EVE

Waking up in Noah's arms in the bed I grew up in was a little strange I keep expecting for my dad or Brad to walk in and bust us.  I am just so glad that never happened, but then again we did have quite the few good make-out sessions here in this bed.  I snuggle closer to Noah and smile as he pulls me in tighter to his chest.  I glance at the alarm clock on the nightstand and groan before leaning up and kissing along Noah's jawline.  I can feel Jr stir and grin moving closer to his ear as I feel his body tremble with anticipation.  I smile nibble his ear before whispering "ok down boy you mom expects us in thirty minutes get up and get dressed."  Opening his eyes, he glares at me, "so, not fair Shelly baby."  I grin at him, "if you behave yourself, I just might give you one of your Christmas presents early later tonight."  Grinning, he pulls me up against him, kisses my lips before he climbs out of bed, lifting me and carrying me to the shower, "Uhm Noah, what are you doing?"  "If we shower together, we will be done faster."  "Fine but behave just a shower."  "As long as I get to scrub your body and you mine I will be happy."  I shake my head at him as we strip and climb in and get cleaned. 

After arriving at Junes, I walk right into the kitchen, wash my hands, and start making the hotoki. I make sure I double the batter since it only makes ten four-inch cakes Noah is giving me grief about starting it so soon, and I shake my "head remember it takes over three hours to get the dough ready plus an additional twenty minutes to cook them."  He groans, "We just had to invite the Covey's and that Kavinski fellow to Christmas dinner."  "Hey, they are staying in a hotel don't be rude and what do you have against Peter."   "He is a guy that is enough."  "Noah baby are you jealous?"  "No."  "Yes, you are I know that look.  Please, baby, remember one I love you, two I love you, three he loves Lara Jean and four most importantly I love you."  He grins down at me and kisses me.  I rewash my hands and finish up the prep work for the hotoki.  I know the real reason he is upset about them coming over is that I decided to make hotoki for a dessert tomorrow and Noah can't stand that fact since Peter said it was one of his favorite Korean deserts. 

After the hotoki batter is done, I start making the pie crusts for all the pies we are all making.  As I make the dough looking up, I grin at Noah "wash your hands please baby."  He walks to the sink as I yell "OK TWIN GET DOWN HERE NOW WASH YOUR HANDS AND START HELPING OR SO HELP ME I WILL GET THE ICE BUCKET."  Lee comes barreling in just as Noah walks up to me and smiles, "now what Shelly baby."  I toss the finished dough on the floured counter top and smirk "start rolling."  I start on the next dough as I watch Lee start on the second one I had finished.  I hear June walk-in, "excellent Noah and Lee now place it in the pie pan and hand it to your dad and me.  Mathew gets the one Lee is working on and pour in the pecan batter he made earlier."  The five of us keep working like this until we have ten pies done and in all their ovens.  I check the time and realize I still have two hours to go before the hotoki is ready.  I look at my Flynn boys and yell, "LET'S GO GET SOME FOOD."  We all take off leaving the rest of the family to make the cookies.   

While at the restaurant Noah took off to the restroom and the waiter walked up and smiled at me "I am William I will be your server today.  Oh, hey beautiful what can I get you to drink?"  Before I could answer, Lee speaks up, "I will take a coke."  I notice the guy ignore Lee, so I shook my head "I will take a diet coke, my best friend wants a coke, and I will need a root beer for my fiancée."  He leans in, "you mean to tell me you are engaged sexy."  "yes, I am, and I would suggest for you to back off he is a little overprotective."  He leaned in while I tried to lean back whispering "he doesn't have to know."  All of a sudden, I hear, "What the hell is f*****g going on here?"

The manager came running over and apologized and told us he would take care of us and the meal was on the house.  William looked at us "well,  they just embarrassed me you know what I will speak to my lawyer and file a suit against you."  I stood up, "well lucky for me; I am currently a law student."  "Oh, a law student I am so scared, yeah right."  "Did I forget to tell you my lawyer and mentor is June Flynn."  "Ha she is my dad's lawyer and a good friend so good luck getting her."  I smirked at him, "oh, guess what I will win."  "What makes you so sure."  I giggled, "She is my future mother in law.  Meet her son, my fiancée, Noah Flynn, oh not to mention my best friend in the world. Lee Flynn, her youngest son."  He blanched and stormed off.  The three of us started laughing, "it never gets old when people try to sue us and throw June at us."  Lee nods "yeah, it is just too funny when they realize we are related to her."  As we all sit down and Noah pulls me up against him "It is because bro none of us act like we are better than anyone until they start throwing suing us and we tell them she is our lawyer."  After enjoying our lunch, we head home, and I finish up the hotoki with Lee and Noah's help.  I was doing the frying them while Lee and Noah were filling them and flattening them.
