The Kissing Booth A New Chapter

CHRISTMAS

The next morning I woke up and smiled snuggling into Noah "baby we need to get up the family expects us in an hour.  He groans gets up and grins while he wiggles over me grinning before reaching over and grabbing a wrapped gift "open this."  I giggle as he kneels between my legs and I sit up opening the gift it is a gold heart-shaped pendant with our birthstones on top of a silver heart-shaped pendant with the engraving Noah and Shelly always.  I look up at him, "I love it, baby."  I get up and Kneel in front of him, lifting my hair so he can put it on me.  He then walks over to our bags pulls out a pair of jeans for each of us and two red t-shirts.  He made me promise just to get dressed; he even gave me a smirk and tossed my blue pair of boy short panties and matching bra wiggling his eyebrows at me.  I giggle and get dressed while he does the same when I look at him I see his t-shirt says Merry Christmas from the future Mr. and Mrs. Noah Flynn.  I smile, "I love it, Noah."  He grins, "Look at your, dork."  I look down and see I am wearing the same t-shirt.  I throw my arms around his neck, "I can't believe this is my first Christmas as your fiancée and my last one as an Evans."  He shakes his head, "you will always be an Evans just with a different last name, baby."  I giggle as we head downstairs and pull on our boots and leather jackets to ride his bike back to his parents.   

Once there I run in and help June set everything up for dinner.  We fix the stuffing for the turkey using the liver and neck in the breadcrumbs and then add butter to the water used to cook the giblets and set it to boil.  I start to wash the bird and rub salt and rubbed sage all over the exterior and interior of the bird.  Once that is done I set it in the baking dish with extra heavy-duty foil paper making sure that it is long enough to cover the entire bird since I have one going left to right and another one up and down.  After dumping the water into the breadcrumbs, I add diced onions, and more rubbed sage to the stuffing mix.  Once thoroughly mixed June and I stuff the bird, and since we made extra stuffing, we put it in two different foil packets and put them into the pan next to the bird punching holes into the top of them.  Once done we wrap up the bird tight so nothing can get out.  After sliding the bird into the oven, we wrap up the ham tight in foil and place it in the oven and turn it on ready to go. 

After our dinner is getting cooked June and I run out to the living room where everyone is eating breakfast that was picked up just for this special day.  This particular restaurant closes at ten to allow workers to go home to spend it with family.  As we go around opening gifts, Lee starts laughing twinlepathy strikes again as he holds up his shirt.  He hands me a gift telling me to open this now. I open it up, and it is a t-shirt that says, "My best friend Lee does it better."  We couldn't help but laugh that again we got each other matching t-shirts without trying.  Lee also got me a picture frame that played Be Together with two pictures of the two of us one from the day we were born and one from recently.  I hugged him, thanking him for my gift.  I received a hoodie from Noah that said I am Engaged to a Harvard Man.  Noah's mom stared at him "son, that is all you got her after what she gave you."  I giggled and picked up my necklace and told them all, "he gave me this first thing this morning."  June ran over and looked at it ruffled his hair "you did well my boy."  June and Mathew gave me a gift card to Barnes and Nobel and a video of all the home movies they had filmed of us as kids.  Mathew loved the gifts I bought him from Boston one was a picture of the Harvard Campus and a picture of Noah scoring his first touchdown for a college team.  My dad almost started crying when he saw the gifts Brad, and I had given him then told us now he understood why Noah and Lee gave him a rechargeable docking station and four batteries.  My dad bought me a spa day for a spa he had researched online that was supposed to be top-notch in Boston as well as a jersey with Noah's number and last name on it from Harvard he had asked Lee for help on that one.  Brad's gifts were great; he bought me a sweatshirt that read "Mess with me, my little bro will tell."  Lee bought Brad a t-shirt that had printed on it. My sister's best friend is hot, so girls if you want his number to ask me."  Mathew almost fell off his chair; he was laughing so hard. 

I received from Mathew and June a gift card B&N and video, My dad spa day and Noah's jersey, Brad a sweatshirt and a bracelet, Lee gave me a t-shirt and a frame and well from Noah a necklace, a hoodie, him in bikini underwear and well... 

Noah received from his parents a gift card to a bike shop in town and a video of us from their home movies (it wasn't till later we learned that mine was mainly of me, my mom, Brad, and my dad.  While he was of us and all the times our rents caught us looking at each other or caring for each other when we thought no one was looking).  My dad bought him a frame with a picture of the two of us from when we were little and fell asleep holding each other and a jersey with my number and name again with the help from Lee.  Bradley gave him a t-shirt and sports bag; Lee gave him a t-shirt that read "my little bro is tougher than me" and an autographed picture of Roger Staubach. While I got him a bracelet, a wallet, the negligee and well... 

Lee got from his parents a visa gift card (since he changes tastes so fast) and a video of the two of us growing up, my dad bought him gift card to Game Stop and gave him a picture of him and me at our 18th birthday party, Brad gave him a game and a t-shirt, Noah gave him a T-shirt that read "my big brother will get you" and a picture of Lee and I at graduation in a picture frame that had inscribed Lee & Elle Twins at Heart while I got him a t-shirt and a headset since he was wearing his necklace that said, friend, while I had on the side that said best. 

Brad got from dad a game card to game stop and a picture frame with a pic of him and me together inscribed siblings forever, June and Mathew gave him a visa gift card and a video of him and my mom with several pictures in a collage. Lee gave him a t-shirt that read  My sister's best friend is hot, so girls if you want his number to ask me and a headset for his ps4.  Noah gave him a new gym bag (since Brad started playing football) and a picture of Brad, Lee and him in a frame inscribed "you will always be our little man.)  While I gave him a game and a t-shirt. 

The adults loved their gifts they each received a gift they could use and a sentimental gift from each of us, but they told Lee me and Noah the best gift was us being home for Christmas.   

After clean up, June and I went in and checked on the bird and started the first basting and began to peel the potatoes.  When the boys walked in, we gave them that job to finish while we started different side dishes.  I began putting together the sweet potato casserole while June made cranberry sauce from scratch.  Once the boys were done, we had them clean, cut, and put them on to boil.  I taught Noah and Lee how to make mashed potatoes; they never realized that you put in a ton of butter and milk to make them creamy.  Of course, the two dorks made fun of me since I used a mixer to mash them instead of the masher so it would be easier and faster. 

When the Covey's and Pete showed up the house smelled wonderful, and the turkey had its last basting and was now open to give the skin a golden brown hue, and the ham was finishing up after applying the brown sugar glaze.  Lara Jean and Margot had made gamja jorim  (a Korean Potato dish) and a spicy cucumber salad.  It turns out that they had a small kitchenette in the hotel room since they were staying for a while but not big enough to cook Christmas dinner.  After arriving, we all opened gifts the Covey's gave the Mathew and June a sign in Korean that said Harmony and Peace; they gave my dad a sign with a yin-yang symbol, they gave Brad a gift card to game stop.  Peter gave everyone gift cards that he had just met a typical guy move.  I ended up getting a bracelet from Margot and Kitty that was a symbol for luck and happiness well actually they gave one to Lee and Noah as well we all just had different colors.  Peter gave me a picture of all of us together the day we met, he gave Noah a new football, and he gave Lee a Korean comic book.  Peter received from me a picture of him and Lara Jean in a frame inscribed "My one and only," from Lee he got the newest Halo game and Noah gave him a new football as well since Pete used to play Lacrosse.  Lara Jean gave me a locket with a picture of the two of us inscribed "new friends 2018", Noah got a gift card to a sporting goods store while she gave Lee a necklace to bring luck in love. 

Dinner went great, and the Korean side dishes added something new to our Christmas meal.  After finishing up our meal, everyone helped clear the table and helped put away the leftovers and clean the kitchen, so June and I didn't have to later.  It was funny watching Peter's and the Covey's eyes as we set out the desserts that were made.  Lara Jean looked at us, "wow, that is a lot of pies, oh, is that hotoki."  I giggle "yes that is hotoki as for the number of pies it is because our friends from High School are coming over and before you say it no you are not leaving they all want to meet you.  The rents are taking your dad out, so we are having a little party with just us and our close friends to eat dessert then after about an hour the rents come back and pick up Kitty and Brad and take them out to enjoy the evening and stay at the hotel while we have a typical Flynn bash."  Peter gets all excited "really I heard about this from your all's social media sites a Flynn bash is epic."  "yeah, this will be the first one this holiday then we are doing one on New Years."   

The Night went great from there everyone loved the deserts, and of course, crazy Tuppen comes in yelling, "where is that stupid Flynn who stole my Evans away from me."  I started laughing as I hear Duncan yell, "And Flynn chases Tuppen in 3...2..1..."  I start cracking up as Tuppen walks up to me "Nah, Flynn won't kill me he knows Evans, and I are just buddies beside I would so like to get to know this Asian angel right here..."
