"When I asked her little lady  are you sure she shook her head, yes but I could see it in her eyes that she wasn't so I stopped."  "Dude why would you do that she is hot man?"  "Simple she doesn't deserve that she is a great girl."  "Man dude you have never worked this hard before to get a girl in bed.  Your rep is going down."  "Look maybe it is her or the fact I have grown up I don't want a hit it and leave it anymore I want a real relationship."  "Ah, come on man just cash in that V card and move on I doubt she slept with her ex."  "Look I can't do that to her I care about her, but I do know I just can't do that especially since I think her heart is still with her ex."  "Oh, him yeah poor dude."  "What do you mean poor dude he dated her all of Christmas break just to dump her right before he left and a week later he was already dating another girl?"  "You don't know do you?"  "what?" That girl set him up her roommate found evidence about the whole plot on how to get him.  Turns out that the individuals involved all had a bone to pick with your girl.  One girl was upset because your girls best friend wouldn't choose her over his best friend.  Another girl was upset because she was supposedly one of the most popular girls at their school and that Flynn guy didn't choose her and chose your girl.  What made matters worse was when she tried kissing Flynn he pushed her away, and someone had recorded it, and it destroyed her reputation because even though Elle wasn't that popular everyone liked her because she is so sweet.  As for that Sandra girl, her reason was no one tells her no and when Flynn told her no it pissed her off."  She admitted to it in front of everyone that she was blackmailing Flynn and thought she was so funny destroying your girl."  "Well, I guess I am going to have to figure out if I tell Elle." "Why she might go back to him?" "Simple when she talks about the past even just talking about their childhood when she brings up Flynn the light in her eyes dazzles me. I want her to be happy."

I took a step back I couldn't believe what I had just heard.  First off Lewis might tell Elle and second if what he is saying is true then I might still have a chance with the future mother of my children.  Yeah, I know we are not together, but I have always thought of Shelly as the only woman I want to have my children.  I start to make a noise as I enter the field calling everyone to order.  I glance at Lewis "Are you joining us or just watching your buddy here and correcting him because today he has to work with the team?"  "I will watch and correct him."  I turned to the team and looked around "OK coach made a deal with the soccer coach to let them use half the field for practice since their field is still soaked, and the sprinkler system is under repair from that stupid frat boy prank. This is your first and only warning if you are working with this team leave them alone."  At that point, I hear Elle "Ladies I mean it if you all do not focus on your job I promise you will be doing five laps for everytime I have to snap you back to attention.  The game on Saturday depends on us concentrating also remember to be here Friday at five in the evening ready to leave. We will be gone till next Friday for this tournament, and all your professors have been warned. John has picked up our assignments for the week.  DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT go telling your boyfriend, fiance's, or friends where we are going or staying.  If you are caught you will be removed from the team, and if you have a scholarship, you lose it."  I could feel it coming on so I hid my smirk behind my clipboard.  That is one of the many sides of my Shelly I love so much.  I turn to the guys and start putting them through their work out.

LEWIS'S POINT OF VIEW

I can't help but watch my girl I want to walk over to her and tell her something, but it was like she could sense what I thought because before I could even move, she glanced right at me and hit me with a death glare.  What the f**k she has never looked at me like that? I will have to talk to her about it I do not like this side of her.  She can't be changing herself just because of him.  All of a sudden I hear "Seriously you thought I was kidding that is five laps Martinez, Loenstine, and Smith."  Ok, now I don't like this side of her she doesn't have to be so damn hard that is why I left football a captain like her.  I watched them for about an hour before she yelled: "ok fifteen minutes, and then we start endurance training."  I walked up to her "hey, babe." She spun around, and the look she gave me made me step back, but I shook it off "Where in the world did this side come from I don't like it, so you need to stop."  I saw Flynn look at me and shake his head.  Her eyes looked like they were on fire.  "Listen to Mr. Lawson on my field there is no babe, Elle, or any other name people deem to call me off the field here I am Evans.  As for my attitude this is what took my team last year to and then win the state championship, and if they can't handle it, then they are off the team.  As for you I recall hearing Flynn yell at everyone working with the football team to leave us alone, so I suggest you walk yourself back before I have you banned from the field house."  "Excuse me you can't do that."  "You seem to forget Lawson you are not a student here correct me if I am wrong but don't you attend MIT."  "Yes, Elle."  She turned around and yelled, "Flynn either get Lawson off my side of the field, or I am doing a drop kick you both."  I couldn't believe it he was shaking his head at me and yelled "Lawson you heard Evans.  You have exactly ten seconds to leave the women's soccer team alone, or I will have to agree with Evans and have you banned."  My buddy just looked at me and shook his head at me.  I looked at Elle in the eyes hoping that seeing me disappointed in her would make her see where she is wrong but it didn't the minute the time was up she had her team do the laps, and she yelled at them if they couldn't keep up with her.  Well, at least that was a good thing she did work just as hard as her team.

After practice I was beyond pissed I cannot believe Lewis had the gall to come up and lecture me in front of my team.  He is dead.  I came out of the field house after taking a shower, and he stood there. I glared at him now was not the time to be anywhere near me.  "Ok, Babe I do not like the way you treated your team.  This is not a side of you I like."  I couldn't help myself I pushed him against the wall "Now, listen here no one and I mean no one but the coach of my team interferes with how I manage it.  Especially not in front of them."   "Oh, like how you made me look like crap in front of them."  "Well, yes because I needed to maintain control.  I am the captain for a reason and if they do what I say I will take them to the championship.  You need to stay out of my way or if you don't like what you see when I am on the field working my team stay away."  "I don't like this side of you."  "Hate to tell you this Lewis this has always been a side of me just you have never seen it since we never work out together."  "Who taught you this?"  "Well, the attitude was always all me. As for the dedication that would be Noah."  "Why do you call him Noah now?"  "As I said on the field I am Evans period.  I give him the same courtesy when we are working the teams we only refer to each other by our last names." " Fine but I need to talk to you about something else."  "Ok, what?"  "Are you going to let him back into your life?"  "I have to Lewis Bradley misses him, Lee, June, and Mathew.  My dad won't go near the Flynn's till I am ok with him talking to them again.  So, right now Bradley is hurting he has no one he can go to back home except my dad." "So, this Bradley is more important than me."  I heard an intake of breath to my left and ignored it and glared at Lewis stressing each word "BRADLEY! IS! EVEN! MORE! IMPORTANT! THAN! MY! TWIN!  He is my baby brother NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING is more important not even how I am feeling and if I was able to let go of the anger I had towards Noah someone I remind you who has been in my life literally since the day I was born you can too.  Lewis, I will always love every member of the Flynn family because they are my family.  If you can't handle that, let me know because if I have to choose Bradley and the Flynns will win."  With that, I turned around looked at Noah "Oh, by the way, I talked to June she said to call her but only when your ready to tell them the whole truth like you told Lee.  So that you know he won't tell me anything, so he is now keeping your secrets from me.  Before you tell me just so that I won't be mad at him, I am glad he is doing it.  Your his brother and Lee should keep your secrets just like mine."  I walked off and headed to my dorm.

I look at Lewis after Shelly stalks off and hear him say "How badly did I f**k up?"  I look at him and the people around us some of the guys are stunned others are just shaking their heads.  I took a deep breath I didn't want to do this, but I had to for her for Brad.  "Pretty big after Mary died what finally pulled her out of her depression was Brad.  Lee and I told her she had to stop that she needed to eat that Mary wouldn't want her to keep doing this but she wouldn't listen.  I don't know how long Lee and I sat there with her in our arms taking turns rocking her we were so scared that we were going to have to hospitalize her.  She didn't eat for days after the funeral the only time she moved was to go to the bathroom and even then Lee had to help her. Then all of a sudden one day Bradley walked in and took her face in his hands with tears streaming down his little face and kissed her cheek he took a deep breath and said Shellybellie I can't lose you too I just lost mom. You're scaring all of us, please don't leave me too Shellybellie I need you I love you.  That is what did it she got up I don't know where she found the strength like I said it had been days since she had eaten but she got up shower changed before doing all that she looked at me and asked me, Noah, can I have my favorite. I knew what she wanted so I left her with Lee and Bradley and ran downstairs yelling Max, mom, dad she wants Chinese she wants Chinese.  I don't think my dad and Max ever moved so fast, but before I knew it there, she was at the dinner table eating with us all for the first time in weeks.  I say weeks because we didn't realize it till that moment that she had locked herself up in her head for three weeks.
