The Kissing Booth A New Chapter

SURPRISE

I knew that Lewis had played football when he was in high school I didn't realize that he had a friend that decided to go to open tryouts for the team when they lost two players due to injuries for the season, and Lewis figured he would help him at tryouts.  Even though today was an off day for the soccer team, I needed to get in my workout.  I hated to admit it, but part of the reason I had this regime was because of Noah, but I never stopped doing it because this was something he taught me when I was just his little brothers annoying best friend.  I had already finished my swimming laps for the day and taken a quick shower to wash off the chlorine, so I decided to do my laps running around the track with my soccer ball dribbling it.  I had started on the soccer field, but unfortunately, some i***t goofing off broke a sprinkler head and flooded the field, soaking me in the process.  I just picked up my ball ran down and asked the football coach, "Hey coach, can I use the track I need to finish my daily regime?"  "Sure, but didn't you guys get the day off."  "Yeah, the team did, but my strength and conditioning mentor from back home taught me no matter what you never take a day off from conditioning because that will only lead to taking another day off and eventually all your hard work is gone."  "Wow, I wish I knew this mentor of yours."  I glanced over his shoulder and saw Noah watching me and grinned, "he is closer than you realize sir."  "Oh, really, and do I know him."  "Yep, you do, and before you ask, he is your captain."  "Flynn is your mentor.  I thought you two barely spoke."  "Oh, well let's say we have our differences now, but at one time he helped me become the player I am today."  "Well have at it just stay off the field these neanderthals might hurt you."  I just laughed, "you seem to forget I have dealt with Noah Flynn most of my life they don't scare me."  With that said, I dropped the ball and took off running dribbling the ball between my feet.  I didn't even realize how long I had been running until I hear next to me, "So, sexy when and where do I pick you up for our date?"  I roll my eyes and pick up the pace leaving him behind.  I heard the snickers behind me, and the i***t who asked me out say "She is probably a lesbo that is why she said no."  that is when I decided I had enough I grinned kicked the ball up and flipped kicked it right at him hitting him square in the chest.   He was so stunned he fell back. I ran up, grabbed the ball, and took off running.  When I felt a hand on my wrist thinking it was Noah I turned around about ready to tell him to leave me alone until I realized it was Lewis.  "Hey, there what are you doing here?"  "Well, they put out a call for two players since they lost two for the season last game and my friend who is a student here is trying out, so I came to support him and help him work out."  "Nice is Noah giving you a hard time?"  "No, actually he is to busy with just getting the people trying out to do what he wants."  "OK good well, I need to go shower and change I have to meet Lee."  "OK but first."  He grabbed my waist, pulled me up against him grinned, and brought his head down, and kissed me.  "Before you say it so that you know I think you smell sexy and look extremely hot right now little lady."  "Oh, really you are not so bad yourself all hot and sweaty."  I grinned up at him as I ran my hand up under his shirt and across his eight-pack abs.  Then spun on my heal and skipped off to the women's locker room.  I hear him yell at me, "you are going to pay for that tomorrow night little lady.  Love you."  I turned around "love you too my Texas cowboy."  

After I showered and changed and headed out of the field house, I noticed I had a message from Lee.  

Lee: Hey Shells I will meet you at the field house M&D sent me some stuff, and I have something for Noah.

Me:  OK

I sat down on a bench just as Noah walked out.  I groaned because I knew I needed to stop him.  He was talking to the asshat that had hit on me, but I knew I needed to do this it was for Mathew, June, and Lee after all.

Me:  Hey Noah Lee just messaged me Mathew and June sent him some stuff, and he has somethings that are for you he is headed over here to meet me for our bestie day.

Noah:  OH, thanks, Shelly I guess I will wait.  So, you're talking to me.

Me:  Noah, please don't start. I am doing this for your parents and Lee I am trying to get him to stop.

Noah:  Look Shells I don't blame him hell M&D barely talk to me too now.

I look up at him with tears in my eyes.

Noah:  Shelly, please don't I did this to myself.  You know I hate to see you cry.

He pulls me in close, and I couldn't help it. I wrap my arms around him like I used to and glanced up at him.

Me:  I know Noah, but I never wanted the family to be mad at you.  I mean I expected my dad never to want to speak to you but never thought Mathew and June would shut you out.  I will try my best to get your parents and Lee to stop.

I step out of his arms and motion for him to sit next to me.

Noah:  Shelly, it is not your job; it is mine.  Right now, I am just going through some stuff, and I don't know what to do.

Me:  Tell them, Noah, I know all of them need to understand why.  I know Lee will be a hard sell hell he is my bestie he feels you broke a brotherly oath to him.  As for Mathew and June, they are your parents they love you.  The only members of the family you may have a hard time forgiving you is my dad and Bradleybear.

Noah:   Yeah, I hate the fact I disappointed Max and as for the little man I know I broke his heart all he used to talk to me about was how great it would be if we got married and I became his official brother.

Me:  Yeah, my Bradleybear looks up to you and Lee.

Noah:  So, you think we can at least be friends and try to fix our family.

Me:  Yeah, we need to I know my dad misses your parents when we are home, and I don't want them to ignore each other when we get back for Christmas it wouldn't be the same.

All of a sudden I hear Lewis

Lewis:  Seriously, I thought you were meeting Lee.

Me:  Yes I am, and Lee sent me a message that he needed to give Noah something from their parents, and we are talking please don't make a big deal about this babe.

Lewis:  Ok, sorry, Little lady I didn't mean it.

I chuckled

Me:  It's ok I will explain everything later oh look there is Lee.

Lee:  Ok, bro I hope you're not bugging my twin.

Me:  Lee stop it I mean it, you need to cut your s**t out and talk to your brother, and if you aren't at least civil, then I will leave you two to it, I know Lewis wouldn't mind me tagging along with him.

Lee:  Fine, Shells here M&D sent this for you.  I am telling you this now Noah if this is some stupid ploy to make yourself feel better I will kick your ass you have hurt my twin enough.

Me:  Lee stop it now

Noah:  Shelly you can't make him forgive me thanks for this Lee bye.

I look at the two boys standing next to me since they both started laughing.

Me:  You know what, f**k both of you.

Lee:  Wait, twin stop, please.

Me:  Lee, you know how you asked me last night why I was crying when you called.

Lee:   Yeah, I figured my bro did something.

Me:  It wasn't your bro, it was mine.  Brad called me last night crying because he misses us, and he misses the family my dad still will not do family dinners with your parents, and it is tearing up my Bradleybear.  That is why I am trying with Noah, you know I will do anything for my Bradleybear, and you need to stop.  

With that, I got up and started walking off.  Next thing I know I am being lifted and thrown over a shoulder.  

Lewis:  OK, you win.  I am so sorry, baby, I will stop.

Lee:  Yeah, twin, we will be good, and I will try to get over myself and talk to my brother but not tonight you promised.

Lewis put me down, and I ended up going to the arcade with Lee, and we sat there playing DDR and having a blast.  After we finished playing, he looked at me 

Lee:  So you're going to forgive my brother.

Me:  Not to get back together he hurt me but Lee we need to fix the family, and if we start here forgiving Noah then maybe our parents will do the same thing.

Lee:  I guess.

Me:  Damn it Lee this is what you were afraid of happening if Noah and I got together and yet what seems to be keeping this alive is you and the rents I am over it and have moved on now you need to as well.  

Lee:  Ok, only because you asked now time for food.

With that, Lee jumped up and bought us our usual meals, and we just sat back, ate our meals, and told each other about our day.  I thought it was funny that we're in this position where I was defending Noah of all people to him.  After we finished up eating Lee walked me back to my dorm, and I convinced him into going up and talking to Noah before he headed back to his dorm at MIT.  We got outside of mine and Noah's rooms I turned and looked at Lee.

Me:  Good luck, twin, and make things right with your brother.

As I knocked on my brother's door, I still could not understand why it was so crucial to my twin that we made up, but I figured I might as well do this.

Noah:  What do you want?  I don't need you making me feel more like s**t than I already do.

Me:  Look Shells is right we need to talk and fix this I am doing this for her.

Noah:  fine, come in.

As I walk in, I look around and notice that he has pictures of him and Shelly all around his room and even some of just her.  My favorite one of her was out at our pool in which she was wearing a dress.  It had to be one of our many parties.  She looked like she was glowing.

Noah:  So, what do you want to know Lee.

Me:  Why Noah, why did you come home and lead her on to break up with her and end up with a new girl not even a week later.  I know you intended to date that girl before you came home.

Noah:  Look, I don't know what you want me to say.

Lee:  Damn it Noah looking around this f*****g room it is obvious you still love Shelly.  You don't think I haven't noticed you watching her with Lewis.  Every time he touches her, you tense up.  That is why I have been staying away from you.  Plus you were not there when she saw that picture of you and that stupid Sandra character it broke her.  She collapsed in my arms shaking we thought we were going to have to hospitalize her all she kept saying was I thought he loved me. I thought we made love Lee all he did was f**k me.   Noah, it almost broke me the last time I saw her that broken was when MARY FUCKIN DIED.
