“Well like I said whenever we have a moment i would love to hear the excitement. Your smile is one of the reasons I hired you, it’s soothing and very beautiful and i need some light in this frequently stressful environment.”
“Are you referring to Cafe Coffee Cookies and Candies down on Bridgeton Avenue?”
Luci-
“Yes that’s the one! I’m a sucker for homey places and that place is family owned. It always feels like home and love every time you walk in.”
Declan-
“I have been there, you are right it does have a certain atmosphere that is very loving and warm.”
“You know we still have about 45 minutes until the other employees come in, would you sit in my office with me and just chat a bit while we get ourselves prepared with yhe schedule for today?”
Luci-
“I would love that, thank you for suggesting it.”
Declan-
“After you my lady.”
Later that afternoon
Declan pov
I couldn’t help my reaction although I don’t belong she noticed all that much, I was just worried with her being alone in the building before anyone else was here, including me
It was the best idea for me approach that situation very delicately because I needed her to be safe and the only way to secure her and ensure thag she would be was to gently redirect her and make sure she wouldn’t arrive earlier than I’m expected to arrive. I don’t mind if it’s just us here but i can’t have her waiting here alone. She doesn’t understand yet and even when she does she just cannot be here alone.
