Chapter six TessaA tale from one of the Mache: A man once came to Milla’ray, saying his beloved dog was dying. Other men struck him about the ears, because he should not have bothered the Goddess with such a trivial concern. She reproved them, saying that a man who loved a dog was far more worthy of her attention than those who had struck him so unkindly. Some of the men came out in boils and carbuncles, but the dog recovered his health.
