She heard the screams and ran to see what had happened. The men were throwing rocks and other weapons after a beast, which quickly disappearing into the distance. Women cowered off to one side, comforted by some of the men. As far as she could tell, no one had been injured, in fact, the only thing to be disturbed were the meat trays. Scraps of food and metal had been strewn about the floor. The creature was obviously hungry. This had been a cold winter, meat was scarce. Quickly, she hurried to the kitchen to grab some food.
