With all the responsibilities my Beta duties entitle, I have deplorable sleeping habits. I am good at sleeping six hours, while the rest of the world needs eight to ten to function. My mate ranges from ten to twelve hours of sleep because she hasn't stirred, not even once.
I made my way to the kitchen and fixed some lunch. I was not sure if Sary would wake up, but I would save some for her, just in case. I was sitting alone eating when I heard a noise. It was something like a vibration.
I stood up and squinted my eyes. Where does that sound come from? I moved around, trying to hear its origin, but it suddenly quieted. Strange
