CHAPTER FOUR

# Love and Revenge tour

Murderer! Murderer!! Murderer!!! It felt as if Ella's mind was screaming out loud. The call she had with Mr Peter brought her head to total chaos. Peter! How much that name disgust her. She remembered the first time she asked her Dad who he was when she first saw the name, that was far before his death.

"Dad who's Peter?" Ella asked her father one day. She was admiring her father's business plan board where she saw the name Peter

"Why are you asking dear?" Her father asked.

"I've heard you call that name several times whenever you're making a phone call and now it's written here" She points with her little curious finger "is he your friend?"

Peter Rodger and Ella's father wasn't enemies from the beginning, they aren't even till his death.

"Yes" Was all he said "and partners" added. "We're working on a big project I created and it's something that the world gonna need. And something that will make us live a comfortable life" He bent one knee and pin it on the ground "That's why I call him much often" He added.

"What are you both working on?" She asked

"Soon, you'll know" He smiled and take his eyes back to his business board. Above the multiple things written on the board 'NOVATECH' was written boldly.

That's why Ella's determined for revenge. NOVATECH is her Father's idea but Peter Rodger is the one enjoying the big fat fruits from it while her father rot in his grave, how unfare!

Ella's mind travels too far that she forgot that she was in a board meeting with her boss, though her attention wasn't necessary compared to all the big men and women on suit in the room. But she wasn't the only one lost, her boss Jason was still traveling through his phone. The news about him and Katie's breakup has spread briskly to the social media that every site and blog talks about it. Jason was busy reading highlights upon highlights while the man that has been talking business tried to draw his attention

"Sir Rodger?" He managed to summon Jason back to reality, even Ella too.

Jason thinly shake his head as he brought himself back to reality "Yeah, you were saying?" Jason struggle to draw his focus back.

"I was suggesting that for our company to remain significant we can create industrial machines with special qualities that will bring easy function to devices." He suggested as most of the members nods trying to understand his point. "For example, a washing machine with AI qualities. People like when their tool do major work than them. That will be a perfect NOVATECH project. How's that?" He added.

"You mean generating legs and hands for human facilities is our solution here?" Jason jokingly made his point

"It's just a suggestion sir" The man defended

"A silly one" He interjected "NOVATECH has an Invention of human AI service in apartments and cars and so on. AI does every service in the house: opening and shutting doors; windows; turning on the TV; etcetera etcetera. All work has been made easy already. So AI power for washing machine and all other devices is necessary . We need something very big.

"Sir, with all due respect, we'd come out with all the idea we can get. Right now we got nothing" A man defended

"That's not all there is" Ella soliloquized

"I beg your pardon?" The same man asked.

Ella wasn't expecting anyone to hear her "Nothing" was all she said.

"As I thought, no one expects a new secretary who does nothing but writing records and dressing pretty to have anything to say on a significant board meeting" He further insulted.

His statement sent a sting to Ella's skin. 'dressing pretty?' what on earth do he take her for.

"Kids" was all she said. "For a company to remain significant you draw the interest of kids" She added.

What she said caused a frown on every members faces including Jason. They were all confused.

"What do you mean?" Jason asked.

"Kids has enthusiastic taste for social medias and technology. Any new trend on that is something they'll all go for, and just imagine their populations" Ella kept a chin high and charismatic expression "So I'll suggest this, If we can inject human AI service on their phones, one avatar that will seems like a friend and help them run operations on their phones: doing assignments, copying and editing_ things like that"

What she said bought the interest of half the members including Jason.

"There are phones that render such services and plus we can't generate an act of laziness to the kids that they wouldn't do assignments and projects on their own." The same man oppose.

"Not all phones does that, nevertheless, more services will be injected, in a way kids having living AI as a friend they take to school and anywhere else with them" She confidently explain

"That's not a bad idea" Another member said quite unsure

"That's a great idea" Jason Bought it with a smile "Not bad for a secretary that dresses pretty" He teased with a charming smile on his face

Ella had to quickly looked away, it was as if she got intoxicated by his smile within two seconds. She couldn't even tell when a smile crawled to her face.

"We'll work more on this suggestion. You'll work on that and present it formally" Jason ordered

"Thank you sir " Ella said

"This meeting is dismissed" He got up and they all exit.

"That was impressive" Jason said as both him and Ella step out " How did you come up with that?"

"It just.... Came to me" was all she said.

"There's something with you that's different from my previous secretaries." He said

"I'm not like everyone else, I'm my own different person " She said

"Well I like your person" Jason said

Somehow Ella was lost in his eyes and she couldn't find herself back.

"I should take you home" He said, that somehow brought Ella back to herself.

"Wait _ what .... No" She subconsciously spat

"I insiste"

"It's okay sir, I rather take a cab" Ella was plane, she didn't wait for his response, she walked away immediately, when she turned her back from Jason she gave an irritated expression. If only Jason knows how much she despise him and the entire Rodgers. Jason may be charming and his looks may lock up one's souls and deceive the eyes, nevertheless, her eyes may be trapped but his charms cannot hold down her hands from piercing the dagger across the heart of all the members of the Rodgers.

Later that day Jason got home looking stressed and worked out. His house was so gigantic and classy. It looked like an apartment of a rich prince.

"Welcome back Mr Rodger" The Ai serviced in his house said

"Linda, open the windows" He ordered the Ai as he fell on his gigantic white sofa. And the curtains automatically open up. He loosed his tie and focused on his phone. He saw different post of his break up with Katie. There was one that made him furious. The highlight stated; 'Jason Rodger dumped by Katie Evans'

"Dumped? I can never get dumbed" Jason grumble to himself.

The whole social media has gotten the story of Katie breaking up with him and that got him furious. There'd never been a situation whereby Jason got dumped by anyone. Instead he's the one dumbing girls for another. Though both Katie and Jason had been high school sweetheart, Jason still had his fun with so many girls. And amongst all his babes, Katie was the only one who dumped him. For the rest he had always been the heartbreaker.

Even Katie went all out bragging how she broke the heartbreaker. She posted it on her Twitter, i********: and all medias. Jason cursed at that, the heartbreaker was beaten on his own game

The other day in work he was discussing with his friend, Greg, they'd been friends since college. Jason recognised Greg more like a brother compared to his step brother Romeo, Greg was everything Romeo wasn't and the only one that could understand Jason till the peak.

He was seating before Jason as Jason express all his anger to him.

"The nurve of that woman, tweeting that she broke up with me, how dare she?" Jason cursed.

"But she really broke up with you, right?" Greg Teased. Greg chuckled at Jason glare. "I'm sorry bro" He apologized "but dude, so what she broke up with you. Not that you lose or anything. You are Jason Rodger, ladies love you and are willing to throw themselves to you. Just one phone call you've gotten yourself a new girlfriend" Greg said.

"You're right. But you know what, I'm really sick of these girls throwing themselves to me. They make things so easy; courting; making out. They are like this doll I toss around " He complain

"I thought you like that, play boy" Greg said.

"Well it's getting old" Jason said. "But then again, you see my secretary?"

"Yeah, she's new? She's pretty hot" Greg flirt

"She's okay " Jason casually state "So far she's the only one that seems immune to my charm" Jason gave a reasoning expression "However she has lost herself several times by my gaze" He brag "...But it never stop her from doing or saying what she wants. It's not usual" He said.

"Wow, that's the first. Must be nice " Greg comment

"No it's not " Jason disagree

"Dude I don't get you, I thought you said you like that" Greg said

"I know, just curious why she's such a hard nut to c***k. She's really interesting you know" Jason plaid with his chin.

"I know those looks when I see it" Greg Said "You said it yourself, she's a hard nut, you don't really wanna flirt with her"

"I want to prove two points, one, Jason Rodger cannot be dumped, two, there's no immunity to my charms. One point for the masses and one point to my secretary " He said playing with his sit.

"How are you going to do that?" Greg asked. "She's definitely going to turn you down, won't that cause more bruises?"

Jason smirk "You should know me by now Greg, I always get what I want. It's either she agree to date me or she loses her job. Tell me which lady would want to lose this job" Jason said

"You realise that you will be playing with someone's feelings" Greg asked

"That's why I'm the Playboy right" Jason said "She don't really need to fall in love with me. It's more like a game, you know, giving the Media what to talk about"

"So love Is just a game to you" Greg was disappointed.

"What else is there to it" Jason said. "It's a perfect plan. And I'll love to see her struggle not to love me" Jason said proudly.

All these while Ella was outside eavesdropping their conversation. She was disgusted on what Jason was saying.

"The nurve of that fool" Ella spat harshly to herself " He really thinks I'm that easy to trick? Well he don't know what's coming" She cursed "But then, this would be perfect for my plans. If I accept then it's a leverage to crawl myself to the heart of the Rodgers, then I can feast on it. Perfect!" She thought excitedly "Guess I'll play this game in a whole new turn
