Second Chance

chapter 1

Vedika stays at a private hostel near her college with her frnd Dhara. They were so close friend.

They meet at college on their first day and became friends with time their friendship became more strong.

It was the day of their last exam they both were very happy that their are going their home after long time.

Tommorow their parents are coming to take them from hostel. As Dhara is going to her village for her cousins marriage they both decided to spend this day with each other.

They were standing outside their campus and thinking where they should go.

"let's watch a movie " Dhara said

"Nice idea. i am booking tickets for Ant man and Wasp is it okay with you" Vedika asked Dhara. She knows that her friend is not that big fan of marvel films. but to her suprise Dhara nodded her head in approval.

They booked a cab for nearby mall and booked tickets fo ant man and wasp. They reached mall they have one hour to spend before the movie starts so they decided to go to dominos.

They ordered their double cheese margarita with garlic bread and coke.

Suddenly Dhara got a call from her parents. She excused herself and pickup the phone.After call when Dhara came back to their table Vedika noticed that she is tensed.

"what happen why are you suddenly so tensed"vedika asked her friend.

Dhara takes a deep breath and said " my baba fixed my marriage with his friends son and decided that my marriage will be on the same day with di" Vedika was shocked after hearing this and Dhara was sobbing and cursing her fate.

"how can they do this to you. You are only 20 years old how can they fix your marriage so early. You have not even completed your studies"she said while consoling her friend.

"They said i can't continue my studies after marriage in indore. I have to move with my husband he lives in delhi .They said they tell me everything when i will reach their. Tommrow bhaiya (elder brother) is coming to take me. I dont know what should i do"Dhara said while crying.

Vedika was sad for her friend but she dont know what they will do as Dhara's family is very traditional and Dhara will never break her parents heart.

They parcel their order as they cant cancle it and decided to go back to hostel.

After reaching their room Dhara hugged her friend as they dont know when will they meet again.

"you know na. you can say no to their proposal. They cant force you. why are you accepting this marriage when you dont know with whom your going to spend your whole life. You dont even know his name. " Vedika said to Dhara

"If i reject this proposal then my parents will be insulted in front of my relatives i cant do this with them. If they have decided this it will be for my best only. i cant say no to them.but i will miss you"Dhara said to her friend"lets enjoy our pizza and then we will pack our bags"

they enjoyed their pizza and packed their bags. They both dont want to eat dinner so they decided to stay in room and chat for some more time.

After chatting they call it a night at 12am.

Next morning they both getup early in the morning and got ready Vedika brought their breakfast in their room only. Both of them are going to be separated today so they both decided to chat for some more time . After some time Vedika called her father to know when they are coming but her father's phone was switched off then she called her mother she doesn't picked her call. Dhara's brother arrived after some time.

Dharmesh(Dhara's brother) '' hllo girls, how are you both''

''we are fire''both replied to him in sad tone

''what happened you have not written your exams well or what'' he asked them

''nothing like that, just don't want to be separated from each other and Dhara will be married and I will not be able to come and we don't know when we will meet'' Vedika told him in sad tone

''She will be continuing her studies and come here to give her exams and for marriage I cant do anything this is our parent's decision '' he told her

'' I understand '' she replied again in sad tone

'' let's go Dhara we are getting late''Dharmesh said to her sister

''but how can I leave Vedika here alone''Dhara said to her brother

''don't worry my parent's are coming here to take me they will be here any minute,don't worry about me and you go stay in touch''Vedika said to Dhara.

Dhara does not want to left her but Vedika assured her that she will be fine . After some time Vedika got a call from her mother when se picked the call she got biggest shock of her life..

''your parent's got in an accident and died on the spot. please come fast to your house.''someone said on the phone

her knees make contact with the road and she sat their crying for sometime. After one half hour she got up and went to bus stand to catch a bus to her hometown . After sometime she reached her home.

But She was not in her right mind and her house was not like looking like her house their are peoples gathered around her house her neighbours and some relatives are their.

Slowly she went inside and move near corpse of her parents when she got there her knees make contact with the floor and she started crying. She cant believe that her parents are no more .

Someone from her neighbour informed her that they called her brother and sister and they are coming here. She was sitting near her parents lifeless she doesn't know how much time passed. She heard sound of cars stopping near her house. She knows that her siblings are here but she doesn't have courage to meet them she thought that they will blame her for their parent's death. She slowly got up from her place and stand little away from her parents because she don't want to go away from them.

Her sister Vartika came with her husband Ronit and her daughter vaanya and directly reached near her parent's.

Her eyes was looking red from crying. She sat near them crying .

After some time they again heard sound of cars coming near the house. In some time her brother Ved came with her wife Aadya and son varun along with them their 3 friends Dhruv , Atharva and Sarthak came with kaavya(Dhruv's wife ) and saatvi(Atharva's wife) with their children .

They also directly went to their parent's No one even looked at Vedika. She was standing watching her brother consoling their sister but didn't even looked at her.
