Chase had been unable to sleep with his excitement of seeing his mate again; even Harper had made an appearance, though only long enough to remind him why they were in this situation. Finally, early morning he finally gave up trying to get more sleep and he started his day early. After a shower and getting dressed in jeans and a formal shirt with his sleeves rolled up, he reported to his father, intent on keeping his promise of becoming a better man and knowing that sitting still while he waited for lunchtime to approach would drive him up the wall.
