That afternoon and every afternoon thereafter while he was holed up in the hospital for a whole week, Finn would bring Cole to visit him. And though it was a great bonding time with his son, it was also a great bonding time with his brother.
Their relationship as brothers were on par, if not better than it had been since their childhood and it was wonderful. But he couldn’t help the disappointment every time they showed up at his hospital room door and Lula shone in her absence; not that he blamed her, but it would have been nice to see her safe and happy.
Finn looked like he was in heaven; having a mate looked good on him. He actually seemed younger, which was both sad and amazing, because he seemed much more of a teenager than he had ever been. Lula did him a world of good.
