"Christ? Is that you?"
Christ froze in place at the sound of a familiar voice. No wonder he felt familiar with the rhythm of the tune hummed earlier. Apparently, the humming voice was his ex-girlfriend.
"Nicole? What are you doing here?"
Clarissa, who was good at reading situations, immediately turned to Jenna. Her face looked annoyed, especially seeing the closeness of Nicole and Christ, who immediately embraced.
Christ released Nicole's hug quickly. Not because he no longer wanted to be associated with his past, but because there was another potential in their relationship that could destroy the trust of his teammates.
"Clara, this is Nicole," Christ said quietly. He also pointed to each of his squatting teammates, lined up neatly behind him. "This is Jenna, Mads, and Anne."
