Christian I checked my watch for the hundredth time, my jaw tightening as I paced the length of the suite. Midnight. She had been gone for hours. I ran a hand through my hair, frustration and worry battling inside me. I had searched everywhere—every corner of the hotel, the beach, the nearby shops. The staff had seen her leave the resort earlier in the evening, pushing Nova’s stroller with that determined look she always got when she wanted to escape something. But she hadn’t come back. I exhaled sharply, trying to push down the unease gnawing at my chest. Isabella was stubborn. I knew that better than anyone. If she didn’t want to be found, she wouldn’t be. But this wasn’t just about her. She had Nova with her. And no matter how angry she was, she wouldn’t keep him out this late. N
