***ARCHIE’S P.O.V***
I went down the stairs when I saw the house. What is going on over here? Why are they all so fancy and great? I didn’t get it. I thought about it for a second.
“What’s going on over here?” I asked the maid.
“Sir.”
“I am decorating the house.” I turned and saw my beautiful mom. I smiled at her.
“And can I know the reason why this is happening? Did Dad c***k some business deal or something special?”
She smiled at me and checked the flowers. “Not just special Archie, something very very special is going to happen that will make sure that you will be the CEO of the company.”
I am shocked. How come that can happen? This is something that is nearly impossible? “How come is that going to happen?”
“With her, as soon as you are with her, you will have it all, then your father will also not be able to deny anything.”
She said" who is coming?" I am just worried about my mom’s happiness. A CEO is the thing that she always wanted. But now what happened is that she is happy and confident also.
“I just hope that it’s all good not involving something complicated in it.”
She comes and caresses my cheek. This gives me a feeling that something is definitely there.
“Don’t worry Archie, you will get what you deserve and not the one who doesn’t.” I nodded at her, then she just left.
Who is coming is just hoping that whoever is coming doesn’t bring any sort of strength to my life?
I made my way to the parking car and drove my car. I stopped in front of the club and headed into the VIP lounge.
Girls came to give me a lap dance. I was enjoying it all when my friend Brandon came.
“Hey dude.”
“Hey buddy.” I was about to shake hands with him but he stopped me.
“Let it be, you enjoy your lap dance.” He came close and shook his hand towards me.
“Congratulations Brandon, finally you have become the CEO.”
I said, I am happy for him until he said something that took away my happiness in a second.
“Thanks buddy, so when is Chris the CEO?”
The wine glass I was holding broke from my hand. “What happened?”
He came close to checking on my hand but then I stopped him and asked him “Why do you think that Chris will be the CEO?”
“Archie, it’s obvious he is the one who cracked all the deals and he is the one representing the company, so I thought that he was the new face.”
I looked at him and shot him in danger. “No he is not and he will never be. Did you get that? He is no one okay and he can never be anyone. My father is just doing charity for him. That’s it.”
I took a sip of wine from the bottle until he asked “And what if he gives it also to him in charity?”
I smashed the bottle on the ground in anger. “He loves to do this charity stuff, but he is not a fool who will give it all to someone who is not bloody okay. I think that now your doubts are clear.”
I said and then got up in anger to leave when, “Great, but I just wanted to say one thing. Please start going to the office and meeting your people to let them and the whole world know that Chris is not the face of the company, you are the face of the company.”
I got agitated and then made my way out of the club. I looked around and then drove as fast as I could. I was continuously drinking when the police stopped my car.
They told me to open the window if they were out of their heads, not even for once. They thought, who the hell I am?
“Show us your license.” I showed them my documents. I was about to drive when they said
“Wait, put this in your mouth.” Alcohol tester
“I am not going to put some shitty thing in my mouth. Get that straight, okay.” I said firmly.
“Sir, I am sorry. I know that you are elite but you do have to follow the protocol. You were the one breaking the driving speed rule.”
He said , I looked at me with anger? “Do you know who I am and what I can do to you in just a phone call?”
This person is pissing me off. “Definitely I know that you are the business tycoon Devin’s son, but apart from that, what’s your identity?”
I didn’t say a single word. I took the tester in my mouth, positive. Now my father was going to kill me. They made me sit in their car and then took me to the station. I was just sitting there.
When my mom came and behind her was my father he shoot me a dager “Thanks for not making any case against him.”
“Sir, that I can do for you at least, but I just want you to know whether he should learn stuff or else.”
My father looked at me and then back at him, “Don’t worry, thanks a lot, by the way.”
He said it. Then we all went out of the station. I sat with them in the car.
“Are you okay Archie? Did they misbehave with you?” Mom asked me. I looked at her
“I am a good mom and just don’t understand why everyone thinks that I am so incapable of being the CEO and how Chris is so capable of being the one.”
My mom looked at me and then at my father. The car stopped and reached home. I got ahead of the car and headed inside when my father said, as he was coming in.
“It’s only because he is capable of holding that position and empowering that chair with his abilities.”
I turned to look at him. “ I have a question for you. Dad, is he your brother's son or your real son whom you are hiding in the name of your brother?”
I said in a rude way," I don’t care if it affects him or not. After all, I am also his son.
“I wish that you were not my son.” He turned to go upstairs when I said
“Then I think that I should leave.”
Without even looking at me being ruthless, he said “This is my house. If you want, you can leave.”
