Why Did You Do This To Me

Her journey to stardom began when Samantha Summers insisted that she should start acting just like her mother. Her looks that were fairy-like, height, and aura, everything was much better than her mother and according to Samantha Summers, she could easily make into the industry. Her first audition was only because her aunt forced her. She was a natural in front of the camera and then there was no looking back. In a span of six years, she had reached the top of the ladder.

It was time for her to go to the office. In her office she was known to be a ruthless monster, devoid of emotions and attachment when it came to work. She was considered to be so cold hearted that men who were her employees, were extremely scared of her instead of feeling attracted by her beautiful looks. 

Lotus was the owner of more than hundred websites, and they all needed a lot of monitoring. With the way Internet world was changing everyday, she had to keep things updated every time and she didn’t tolerate any slack. When she was a struggling actress, she had started with a small blog for the sake of fun, but it was really astonishing to see that the blog had started earning money. When she used to send people to buy things she liked, she got a commission. 

Lotus had recently entered the list of top ten most influential businesswomen of the world. The media was all praises for her. She was thought to be a woman with beauty and brains and yet more powerful and dominant that most of her male counterparts. 

Sitting in the plush office chair, she looked at the documents in front of her and said, “Don’t renew this website’s domain now. It is useless. Instead, give me a list of domains that people are selling or the websites that are on sale. Give a thorough report about these in the next week.” She was looking for a website that was earning good money and she wanted to get in interior decoration niche. The competition in that niche was very high, but this was something close to her heart. 

“Madam, one week is not enough to find a good website on interior decor and that too which are on sale,” said a young manager who was recruited in the marketing department. There were so many checks that had to be performed. How could they find a good domain or website in one week? 

Lotus looked at him and narrowed her eyes. “It seems you are not as hardworking as the Lotus Company would want you to be.” 

The young manager became scared and bit his tongue for going against the boss’ words. 

Lotus looked at others and said very plainly, “If there is no website in that niche for sale, then send offers with double the money to potential sellers. There is nothing money can buy in this world! I want the report within a week. If you can’t send it in a week’s time, consider looking for another job!” 

Everyone in the meeting was quiet. No one dared to say a word. Lotus smiled and said, “Fine then. This meeting is over, you all can go back to work.” She got up and walked out of the meeting hall and suddenly everyone started breathing. 

While going to her office at the agency that represented her she called her agent. “I can go for that cold drinks ad screen test today. Fix my appointment with them.” There was a short pause. “Have you fixed my schedule with them?” asked Lotus doubting her agent’s capabilities.

Her agent was a little lady who was very scared of working with her. It had been just a few months and she was already planning to leave Lotus.

“Madam, I will do that right now,” she replied with fear.

“What? How could you slack so much?” she replied while standing in her office in a very low tone. “Fix it for the afternoon.” 

People who were listening to this conversation quivered. The way she spoke gave them chills.  

“Yes Madam,” replied the agent fearfully. Her hands were shaking by this time and as soon as she disconnected the call, she started calling the relevant people. Soon she messaged Lotus with time of her appointments. 

Lotus looked at them and then thought that she should reduce her workload. 

Her mind wandered to the call from her grandmother. She was away from those people only because of her grandfather, who was in the hospital because of a heart attack, and she didn’t want to give him any more problems but now she was free… 

She started counting the ways to take her revenge… 

But first she had to take care of Natash Wayleigh - the b***h who had stolen her role.

Lotus reached the agency and trotted to the small office space that was given to her by the owner. She sat in the expensive leather chair of her office. The office was a small space of about 16x16 feet only. There was a modern wooden desk where she had her computer and several files were neatly stacked. She swiveled her chair to look outside the room. She looked at the skyline that was dotted with tall buildings as she waited for her to arrive. 

Ten minutes later Lotus heard heels clicking on the floor and a smirk spread on her face. The door opened and banged close.

“You dare to show up after what happened?” Lotus said with a vicious smile on her face without looking at her. 

"You scum—" Natasha growled.

Lotus swiveled her chair. Her eyebrows rose as she stared at the woman in front of her. ‘Pitiful!’ she thought. 

“How could you do this to me Lotus?” shouted Natasha Wayleigh. She wanted to wipe that smug smile from Lotus’s face. A face that carried weight, and a smile that had captivated millions in the world of entertainment. She was so beautiful that anyone who looked at her melted immediately. She looked stunning, even while she sat at the table, smirking, but Natasha Wayleigh knew how brutal and evil she really was. 

Natasha Wayleigh remembered how much she wanted the lead role in the new movie ‘The Revenge’ directed by Tan Smith and it was Natasha Wayleigh’s final chance to grasp onto her fading career.  But Lotus had also been considered in the casting call as the lead actress. Natasha Wayleigh wanted to topple the younger woman and take her place; she knew this movie could take her to crazy heights, and she would snatch her title of becoming the number one actress in the entertainment industry from Lotus. She had done a lot to get this role and before the ink had even dried, this b***h got in the way.

“Couldn’t you just accept that you are no longer a part of this movie? Why did you do this to me?” Natasha Wayleigh cried.
