Chapter Two

1103 Words
I turned to see who this person was, and to my surprise, I was faced with a strange-looking guy, beaming at me with his blue braces, laced with broccoli. Realizing my hands were still in his sweaty grip, I removed my hands quickly and wiped them on my dress. Disgusting, yeah I know. His audacity to even grab my wrist that way. “And you are?” I stared at him in slight disgust. “Hey, it's me, Landon” Like hell, that was supposed to ring a bell. Anyone could answer Landon, and this weird ass dude was putting on shades. How was I supposed to even recognize you? Noticing I still looked confused and probably heard my thoughts, he took off the shades. “Landon Webman”, he said, “We had calculus class together back in 9th grade”. “Oh,” I said, feigning to remember him. “What's up?” “I'm doing good. How have you been? Seems like forever we saw each other.” Let's get something straight, I DIDN'T KNOW WHO THE HELL THIS GUY WAS!!! I mean, I did calculus back in 9th grade, but how was I supposed to know all my classmates?? Bro's still here beaming with a smile. Just great. Taking my hands with his sweaty palms again, he smiled and said “Let's go over there and catch up” “I'm cool here, besides my friends are waiting for me upfront” This time I gently removed his hands from mine and faked a smile. It came out fake and he seemed disappointed. At that moment, I wish I hadn't. I turned around to horridly leave his sight before any more weird things happened, and then I heard Alexa shout; “Who wants to go clubbing?” I picked up my bag, downed one more cup of vodka and headed for the door. Hopefully, I'll still be sober throughout the night. I headed to Alexa’s direction, where she was with another guy, holding her by the waist and heading for the door. For the first time since we arrived at Chris's birthday, he remembered I existed. He was coming up in my direction. “Sandy” he stopped me as I was just about to leave the door. Feigning a smile, I turned around to answer him. Oh boy, he looked hot from up close, or was I drunk? “Oh, hi Chris. Happy birthday”. I stretched out my hands to shake him. Why did I do that? Why are you shaking your best friend Sandy? He pulled me close to hug me, ignoring my hands. “Thanks, love” “I didn't see you around, and I thought you wouldn’t make it this night.” “Why would I miss your birthday? Not like I have that much work keeping me busy." “Okay, no problem. You're coming with us to the club yh?” His expression was screaming, please say yes, but his tone seemed very normal. “Why not?” I smiled. “Woo-hoo, it's time to partyyyyy,” he said as he led me outside. Everyone made their way into the club, and I could hear the loud bass music. “Four shots of tequila, please!” Chris shouted to the good-looking guy at the bar. He looked at me and I hurriedly turned my face. “Coming right up,” he said and sent a cheeky wink. I moved to the bar area, sat on a chair, ordered a drink and was vibing to the songs blasting. I might have taken a bit too much because I was already feeling tipsy. I stood up to try and gather myself, but I staggered and sat back down. My head began to spin, and I had to use the bathroom. I could either pass out or pee on myself. While contemplating this, I stood up and headed for the bathroom, when I almost bumped into what I supposed was an intense make-out session. I caught myself drooling over someone else's make-out. I thought the bartender was hot, but this guy in question was smoking hot and shirtless oh my God! The pee was about to come out. At this point, I couldn't hold it back in, I really had to go. “Excuse me, I'm in a rush”, I said as I ran past them. I finished my business and came back. Chris was already making a toast, and giving a vote of thanks to everyone for coming around and celebrating with him. It's about time the party ended. I'm super drunk and I need to sober up before tomorrow. I helped Alexa into an Uber, and I looked up to see Chris was heading to my side with a dude. I recognize this guy…he's the super hot guy, oh my days. “Had a fun night?” Chris grinned. “Yh, I did. I might have drunk more than I should've. I just have to go home and sober up”. “My homie here”, Chris said as he gestured towards Ceci, “could save you a lot of stress and take you home. What do you say, Sandy?” I felt tongue-tied and somewhat shy. “Umm, I mean sure, if he's cool with it,” I said. “Of course, I am,” Ceci said, his deep, resonant voice rumbled like a low thunderclap on a summer day. He fixed his gaze on me and had a sexy smirk across his face like he could read my thoughts. “All right then, I'll see you lots later,” Chris said and hugged me goodnight. He leaned closer and whispered into my ear, “Don't wet your pants boo”. He pecked my cheek and turned to leave. “Don't be corny, Chris,” I said, almost blushing. At this point, I could actually pee my pants, he was so freaking sexy, and we'd be alone throughout the ride home. Stop getting in over your head, you barely even know this guy Sandy. “M’lady” Ceci gestured to me as he held the car door open for me, with a cute smirk still all over his face. This can't really be the same guy I thought I saw randomly making out back at the club. Are playboys also romantic? Without making things seem more weird than they were, I fixed my gaze down, avoiding eye contact with him and got into the car, and he closed the door behind me lightly. Gentleman much???
