“What? Are you being serious right now?” Vance asked, surprising me. I wasn't expecting him to talk to the Lycan king that way. But it seems they are indeed brothers.
“Which part did you not understand Vance? I just told you she is your future Luna.” Lycan king Xyrus said and I don't know, his voice actually made me look at him again as if I was under a spell.
“Oh sorry,” Vance said and picked up the glass cup containing the wine. He took a sip from it and dropped it back on the table.
“I wasn't expecting that revelation because I thought the bride would be Adelina, of course. The twist is actually what surprised me.” He said and I can sense the sarcasm in his tone. The two know how to banter well.
