“Why did we stop?” “You need more training, Sawyer. Your moves are sloppy. I need to get you stronger.” “I thought they were okay.” “They don’t just need to be okay Sawyer, they need to be spot on. Do you understand?” “Yes.” “We’ll take a break now and have some water. From tomorrow, we’ll be training every night after school. Once you move in, we’ll have full access to the gun and I can teach you more than just punching and kicking. You need to know how to defend yourself, okay?” “Okay.” “We’ll start working on combining them both here on the mats before we even engage in using the ring, okay.” “Okay.” “Go.” They attacked one another watching each other’s next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was doing pretty well until he caught her off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn’t calculated it too well and as she went down she took him as well. They were breathing heavily, their eyes locked on how he wanted to kid her right now. “Well done Sawyer, you’re getting the hang of it. Now let’s bring the punches in, then combine them.” “Right guys take a break and grab a drink, then it’s Demario.” They both got out of the ring, grabbing a bottle of water and taking a few swigs out of it. “You did well darling, the tough part is when you’ll have to fight all three of us.” She swallowed hard as he winked grinning at her. “Demario, Sawyer, you’re up.” They nodded, she placed down her bottle of water. They both got into the ring and took their stance. “Don’t worry kitten. I’ll take it easy on you.” He said, grinning. “Well done Sawyer, you’re getting the hang of it. Now let’s bring the punches in, then combine them.” She nodded They continued with the kickers adding punches and then combining them both. He put his hand up to stop. “That’s enough for today. Tomorrow we’ll continue as we are tonight until you’ve got the hang of it, then when I think you’re ready I’ll put you up against one of my brothers, okay.” “Okay.” She gulped. Training Day 6 and Training Day 7 Tonight they were going to go to the gym to train with his brothers. Why did this sound like a bad idea? Antonio pulled up outside the gym, and they got out, closing the car doors. Christiano slipped his arm around her waist, and they walked into the gym where he finally let go of her waist. “Follow me.” She followed him as she changed in the girl’s toilet before meeting the triplets. They all looked up at her and grinned that this was going to be a piece of cake. “So are we ready to begin?” She swallowed hard; they all knew she was nervous. “Don’t worry darling, we’ll take it easy on you.” They joked. “Come on Sawyer, we ain’t got all day.” She sighed deeply. “Okay.” “Exercise first.” “Okay.” They did some exercises first, and she was beginning to regret coming today, but she knew she’d eventually have to fight the two brothers. “Right, first of all, you’ll be fighting Marco, then Demario and, lastly, me, so we can see where your strengths and weaknesses lie, okay?” “Okay.” “Get in the ring and take your stance.” She got into the ring, taking her stance, looking at Marco. He winked. “Fight.” Christiano boomed. They began to fight using different punches and kicks. She’d learned well, but she was getting better. With a little more practice she could nail this. They attacked one another watching each other’s next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was doing pretty well until he caught her off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn’t calculated it too well and as she went down she took him as well. They were breathing heavily, their eyes locked on how he wanted to kill her right now.
