My dear Eleni,
Please forgive my silence. My life has been rather eventful since I left your home in London about a month ago. I am still thinking of you and little Chloe every day though and I wish you well.
I am writing to fill you in about the latest events, as I would not like you to hear a distorted version of what went on from your parents. You will have heard already that your father and I are closing down the café. This is long overdue, as it was not making a profit for some time now. However, it was not easy to get your father to agree, and once we finalise the closing down I will not be keeping in touch with him any more. Your parents are already in the process of moving all their stuff back to your family flat.
