Let's go! Stop being a scared cat!" Jungkook teases as he showed the smaller his tongue. The two ten year old boys were those you would call the innocent adventurers who always ended up in trouble somehow. But their friendship always kept them going. Their friendship drove them to do crazy things. This time, it was Jungkook's idea to drag Taehyung into entering an old abandoned building just a few blocks away from their house on an empty road. Taehyung was too scared to go so Jungkook found it his job to drag the latter into it, whether he wanted to or not. They both took an oath to always do things together because it was part of their bond. "B-but... Its almost two in the morning. My mother will be wondering where I am." Taehyung stuttered as he stopped in the middle of the road, a few metres away from the old abandoned house. The house was two stories high, the paint had taken on something black and mouldy. The gates that surrounded the house were small and covered in brown rotting plants. The windows were all broken, except a few that had a black murky effect to them. The moonlight lit up the house like a lantern in the dark world. To Jungkook, the house was somehow calling him. It was like this invisible force field that never seemed to disappear. Taehyung clearly never felt it by the way the said male twiddled with his fingers a few metres away. His face shown pure horror. Jungkook smiled softly this time and approached the scared younger. "I'll hold your hand the whole time okay?" Jungkook offered sweetly. This, seemed to get the smallers attention and he quickly agreed. The two entered the house. Everything was so black and dark, yet there was some light from the moonlight. Jungkook looked around curiously, while Taehyung almost screamed at every little thing. Even when he saw an ant crawling near his foot. Jungkook shook his head but both of their thoughts were shut immediately when they heard a loud bang coming from just above their heads. The two froze almost immediately and Taehyung tightened his hold on Jungkook. Both of them were so terrified that they even held their breaths to try and hear anymore noise. Their attempt was successful when they heard crawling coming from above their heads. Like a thousand millipedes crawling from the second floor. Each sound made goosebumps rise on their skin and shivers ran down their spines. "Jungkook... Can we please lea-" Taehyung's silent attempt to escape was cut short when they heard an earth shrilling scream come from the top floor. It never seemed to stop, the screaming, the struggling, the cries. Taehyung felt the blood leave his body. He tugged at Jungkook's hand hard, trying to leave that damn f*****g house but his best friend had other plans when he began to make his way upstairs. He seemed to be in a trance as he walked up the stairs as if he only had one target to fulfill. "No! No! What are you doing?! Let go of me!" Taehyung's eyes widened as they moved closer and closer to the screaming. Everything seemed to get louder. He tried to pry his hands away from Jungkook but it didn't work. His wrists actually became bruised as to how strong his hold was. Suddenly the screams were dulled... By callings and pleads of little children. "Help us... Help us please..." There must have been about a hundred of them chanting to help them. "Save us... We're dead." Taehyung felt tears spill over his eyes as to why he was here and why was jungkook not listening to him. Jungkook had finally dragged the smaller to the second floor, there was a single door. The door had turned into something mouldy green but that was the least of their worried because at the bottom, Taehyung noticed splattered blood. Dried and some fresh... "Jungkook!! Please.... W-we need to leave!" Taehyung sobbed hard as he pulled on the hold of his best friend. "Shut up! We need to help them!" Jungkook screams back. His voice was hoarse and raspy, he was determined and with one quick and swift move, he grabbed the door knob and pushed it open. And all their nightmares came to life in seconds. Inside the large room were little kids laying on the ground. All of them dead... Their fingers missing, some with their eyes. Blood littered the floor, walls and ceiling as if it were some kind of paint. On the very far end of the room, there were words splayed out on the walls , written in blood. There's no way out... Sleep with us... Both boys felt their blood run cold and only then did Jungkook realize the seriousness in the situation when he felt Taehyung scream and cry behind him. A scream was heard again, coming from somewhere around the house and that was their sign to run. Jungkook turned and sprinted for the exit of the abandoned house, Taehyung was right behind him. Their footsteps echoing around the house. They could hear something following them but non of them looked behind them. Jungkook let out a breath when he opened the door and ran out into the night. Everything went silent. "That was clo-" "JUNGKOOK! HELP ME!!!" Jungkook turned around immediately when he heard his best friend scream. He felt tears escape his eyes when he saw the dead, bloodied children dragging Taehyung into the house by his ankle. Taehyung's face was red from the screaming and his eyes were all puffy from crying. "JUNGKOOK PLEASE!! THEY'VE GOT ME!!" The desperation and fear in his voice had racked Jungkook's world like an earthquake. Next thing he knew, he was running after Taehyung. His best friend... "I'M COMING TAETAE! I'M COMING!" Jungkook screamed as he watched his best friend being dragged against the dirt of the front broken yard, he was hot on their trail. Jungkook jumped and managed to get a hold of Taehyung's hand but he fell, causing him to get dragged along too. He bit his lip against the pain in his knees but he promised to not let go. "I'VE GOT YOU TAETAE! I'LL NEVER LET GO!" Jungkook screamed as tears blurred his vision. This was all his fault. He had dragged Taehyung into this when he knew he didn't want to be there. Now his best friend was in danger because of him. Taehyung's cries came to a standstill as he sniffled and looked at his best friend with scared eyes. "You promise? You promise you'll never let go?" Taehyung asked suddenly and Jungkook didn't even hesitate as he nodded his head. "I promise, I'll never let you go taetae!" Jungkook cried, making sure his best friend knew how much he meant to him. "Then don't let go." Taehyung smiled sadly before pushing Jungkook abruptly till he rolled harshly in the dirt and Taehyung was dragged away until the door was slammed shut. And the last thing Jungkook heard that night... Was the screams of his best friend... Family of traumatized victim flee Busan due to sudden disappearance.
