Pat took a refreshing gulp of water from the bottle and splashed the rest over his sweaty face and body, before discarding the container. He looked back down the slope he had just sprinted up and checked his stopwatch.
‘Not bad,’ he thought, panting, ‘my best time yet.’
He noticed the small oriental woman who he’d passed moments ago, jog into view. ‘She’s cute.’ he thought.
The woman then stumbled and fell.
‘Damn, I hope she is okay,’ thought Pat and raced back down the slope.
