“I woke up half asleep as Elias started celebrating inside the ship. Loud music blared in the ship, Elias’s feet thumbling on the metal floor. I sat down on the bench, my brows crunching together.
“What the stars…” I wondered, cussing.
“Melani, we’re here,” Elias cheered, coming up to me.
The message didn’t register as quickly in my mind, but my body understood the words, standing abruptly from my seat. My mouth gaped, unable to process the excitement in my stomach.
