Chapter 2 Leah woke up by the screams of the flight crew and by shaking her up by her secretary. She was confused about the commotion that was happening. Leah couldn't understand what her secretary was saying because it is so loud inside the plane. Her secretary spoke louder in order for her to understand what was happening. "MA'AM, ONE OF THE WINGS OF THE PLANE IS ON FIRE. IT WAS AN ENGINE FAILURE!," her secretary shouted. "WHAT?! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW?!" Leah replied while shouting too. "THE CAPTAIN IS DOING HIS BEST TO CONTROL THE PLANE AND LAND IN ONE OF THE NEARBY RAILWAYS!" The secretary informed her. Then suddenly, she remembered her dream earlier that day. It was a premonition dream, a warning that something not good was going to happen. It was exactly the same as the dream but she prayed that the ending is not the same. It is going to be alright. We are going to land safely. Please, Lord God. Please let us live, unharmed. Please, please, please. I beg you. But fate was mocking her, she heard the voice of their pilot saying that there is no nearby railway station. Leah was panicking inside. No, no, no. This is not happening. This is just a dream. This is just a bad dream. I have to wake up. I have to end this terrible dream. Again, fate mocked her. They were going down really fast. The pilot tried his best to still control the plane but he failed. They are going to crash on the foot of the mountain. Leah heard the scream of the people inside the plane. She just closed her eyes and braced herself for the impact of the crash. Then in a deafening sound, the plane crashed. She slowly opened her eyes. In her blurry sight, she saw her secretary right across the seat. Her secretary was unconscious and blood was dripping all over his body. She wasn't sure if he was still alive or not. But it was not the time for her to be worried about other people. Leah was aching all over. Blood was also dripping from her. She can't move at all. In her waning consciousness, her whole life flashed before her mind. From her childhood up until to this day. Leah saw her times when she was celebrating her birthdays alone. Her graduation, from elementary school until college, was the time she most envied her fellow schoolmates because no one was there to congratulate her achievements. She saw all her bad and good times at once. How did I survive all of that? Even though I am dying right now, I wished to hear their voices and see my parents one last time. I just want to ask them one last question. Are they happy to have me? Are they glad that I became their daughter? Her body started to get numb. Leah's eyes started to close. In the corner of her closing eyes, Leah saw her phone. The game that their company developed was on the run. She smiled. That was the game that I was supposed to promote on this business trip. I am glad that people enjoyed that game. At least, I left a mark in this world. I wish someone will think of me while they were playing that game so that, even though I am not here anymore, I will still be remembered. Leah's tears started to fall from her eyes. As she closed her eyes, she felt relieved that her life was over. And with that thought, she breathed her last breath. Hmm? Something felt cold. What is that? Was heaven supposed to be this cold? Is this even heaven? Why can't I open my eyes? I can't even move. She was in a very dark space. She was floating or rather she was sinking. A little while later, she heard a voice. She couldn't tell if it was a man or woman. She couldn't even make out what they were saying. Then suddenly, she heard a loud crying voice, like it was coming from a newborn baby. Wah. Wah. Wah. Wah. What the hell is that? It is so loud. Please make it stop. It gives me a headache. Urgh. Stop. Stop. JUST STOP. Then it stops. Then she realized it was coming from her. She slowly opened her eyes. She saw two people, a man and a woman, staring at her, smiling. The man has strikingly beautiful platinum hair with a pair of evergreen eyes. The woman, on the other hand, has beautiful brown hair that is past her shoulders and a pair of navy blue eyes. "Felix, look at our daughter. Isn't she adorable?" Said the woman. "She is so adorable and beautiful. Samantha, thank you for giving me a precious child." The man kissed the woman on her forehead. Then turned to her again. She saw from their eyes a loving gaze. "She has the color of your hair and the color of my eyes." Samantha said while looking at her with an affectionate smile. "What should we name her?" Felix asked Samantha. "Clarabelle, that should be her name," Samantha said while smiling and tearing up. "That is a very beautiful name. She will grow up bright and beautiful like her name," said Felix who can't hide his delight. The couple looked at each other then smiled. "Clarabelle, we are your parents from now on. We will take care of you and love you so much," Samantha said. New parents? Wait, what? Did I just get reincarnated? And my new name is Clarabelle. Wait. That name seems familiar. Where did I hear that name? Clarabelle stared at the couple for a long time. She cannot remember where she saw them but they do seem familiar to her. A few minutes later, she felt that her eyes were closing. Huh? Am I going to sleep? It seems that I can't resist this sleepiness. Before the sleepiness defeated Clarabelle, she heard her father speak with obvious affection, reflecting in his soft voice. "Good night, Clarabelle. Sleep tight. Your mom and I are here," said Felix. Then finally sleep defeated her. The next few days, she learned her new name. She is Clarabelle Mavolia, the only child and daughter of Duke Felix Mavolia of Ludusmalum Kingdom. Shit! I just have to be reincarnated as a side character in the game that I developed. What freaking luck did I just have? Clarabelle in the game is the side character that died because she saved the female lead. My gosh! My luck has left me. She was busy contemplating her situation when she realized something. Wait a second! It might be good for me. I know what will happen in the future. I know the events that are going to happen. I just have to take advantage of the situation then I will survive. Yeah, that's it! She gained confidence because she convinced herself that this was an advantage. And with that, she promised to herself to survive in this game until the end.
