STRANGE ENCOUNTER
“Whom do you seek, young lady?” The old man asked with a slight grin on his face.
He looked like he was in his mid eighties and I couldn't help but wonder how he still looked really strong even in his condition.
“I.. I was actually traveling and lost my way. Now, I don't even know where I'm going.” I lied to him.
I had an awkward feeling that he could have an alliance with Ryder somehow. And if I ended exposing my true identity and self to him, he might be forced to give me up to him.
He raised his eyebrows. “Oh! Is that so?” I nodded in affirmation. “Well, why don't you come with me so you can rest for a while? Then hopefully when you finally remember where you are going, you may leave.”
