LOCKED IN
Although I couldn't see the maid clearly, I could tell that she was in a state of total disarray. She looked bittered and helpless in that position.
She scoffed quietly, her head buried between her legs. “I have been here for some months now. Ryder has refused to get me out of here. Please help me. You have to help me get out of here.” She pleaded, her voice shaking.
I could read her emotions through her voice. This was definitely not staged. Ryder was keeping a maid captive all this while.
Who knows how many more maids and guards have died because of his nonchalance?
I was drawn to help the maid out of the dungeon, but how was I ever going to do that since I was also locked in here with her?
