“Oh I'm sorry. I only stepped out to relieve myself a bit. I couldn't stand the heat of the hut the minute I put to bed.”
“Put to bed?!” The midwife asked, shock written all over her face. “Wait.. do you mean to tell me that you had already done it all by yourself even before his arrival?”
Mooncrest nodded and smiled faintly.
The midwife couldn't believe her ears still. She obviously felt we were trying to play games with her. She stared at Mooncrest and then at me, a thousand and one questions emanating from her uncanny look.
