The old cargo ship roared, its diesel engine screaming as it was pushed beyond its limits, as if it knew it was a projectile in this life-or-death gamble. Kael slammed the wheel, aiming straight for the hull of Julian's mothership, which was now wrapped in a distortion of silver light. "We won't be able to breach his shields, Elian!" Kael shouted over the violent shaking of the vessel. "That silver frequency isn't just a shield, it's a spatial anomaly he created!" I didn't answer. I was sinking into the Dissonance.
